Jackpot.com, a leading lottery and gaming marketplace application that allows players to purchase tickets and play lottery games from their mobile devices, is expanding its footprint.

Already available in seven states, including New York and Texas among the most prominent, Jackpot.com is set to expand its services into Arizona.

“We could not be more excited to launch in Arizona and offer the people of the Grand Canyon State a more convenient way to play the lottery,” CEO and co-founder Akshay Khanna said via a release on Tuesday. “With Jackpot, Arizonians will be able to purchase lottery tickets and scratchers from wherever they want on their mobile devices. By improving access, we’re happy to help Arizonians contribute to the great causes that are supported by the Arizona Lottery.”

The app, first launched in 2016, will allow users in the state to purchase lottery tickets for popular nationwide lottery games, including Mega Millions and Powerball, in addition to local games such as The Pick.

Winnings will also be available in real-time via the app for wins under $600, while prizes above that threshold will be required to be collected from the Arizona Lottery.

In addition to lottery games, scratch games will also be playable via devices, with players using their fingers or mouse to reveal winnings. The site will be launching with four of the state's most popular Scratchers available — Lady Luck, $240 Million Cash Explosion, Instant Millions, and 500x Fortune — with other games also available for players.

Responsible gaming and good causes

With the expansion of availability of Arizona lottery games within the state, various charitable causes will serve to potentially benefit, according to the Jackpot.com release.

“Every year, the Arizona Lottery gives back hundreds of millions of dollars from ticket sales to a variety of programs and organizations striving to make an impact in higher education, health and human services, environmental conservation, and economic and business development,” the release explained. “This fiscal year, the Arizona Lottery achieved $1.52 billion in sales, a historic milestone since the state lottery's inception in 1981, and contributed $314.89 million to its primary beneficiaries with approximately $217,000 also going to the State of Arizona's General Fund.”

In addition to funding, Jackpot.com’s app will also be equipped with standard responsible gaming tools as increased scrutiny around iGaming and Sports Betting continues to lurk in the public consciousness.

Various safety implementations, including spend limits, deposit limits, and access to national gambling resources will also be available within the app, as well as automated notifications that will also aim to help curb problematic habits. Jackpot.com is also the only lottery courier service to launch with iCap certification from the National Council on Problem Gambling.
