Leading prediction platform Kalshi was named the Official Prediction Market Partner of New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden.
An announcement on Friday confirmed the new multiyear partnership between Kalshi, The Garden, and MSG Networks.
Key Takeaways
- Kalshi will get to advertise its brand inside MSG and on MSG Networks.
- Madison Square Garden hosts millions of guests for events in a variety of industries.
- Kalshi completed a $1 billion round of funding at a $22 billion valuation this week.
Kalshi has quickly become one of the most prominent names in the world of sports entertainment, thanks to its abundance of prediction markets. Options range from Jalen Brunson scoring 30+ points on Friday, to which team will win the NBA Finals, and who will be selected first in the NBA Draft.
Through the partnership, MSG’s sixth-floor concourse will be renamed the Kalshi Concourse in what the company called “a new era for the city.”

“As leaders in live entertainment, we are always searching for opportunities to partner with forward-thinking brands on innovative partnerships, and as such, are proud to welcome Kalshi as the first prediction market partner of Madison Square Garden,” said Doug Jossem, Executive Vice President, Global Sports & Entertainment Partnerships at MSG Entertainment, in an announcement.
“By bringing The World’s Most Famous Arena together with Kalshi, we are providing fans with a unique way to experience both brands, and we look forward to exploring how our companies can collaborate through this exciting new partnership.”
The Garden hosts an array of events. It serves as the home base of the NBA’s New York Knicks and NHL’s New York Rangers, and it hosts music concerts, combat sports bouts, college basketball, entertainment shows, and more.
According to Kalshi’s announcement, the company’s new branded concourse will expose its brand to “the millions of fans [that] attend events at MSG every year.”
“Kalshi prides itself on being a true New York City institution, and we’re beyond excited to partner with another one in MSG,” said Valeria Vouterakou, Legal Counsel at Kalshi.

Kalshi hits The Garden
Kalshi is receiving far more than a renamed concourse and official title through the partnership. The company will now be integrated into the consumer experience at The Garden, whether that be at sports events, concerts, shows, or anything else inside the arena. Prediction markets found on its platform will allow users to trade binary contracts on outcomes across all relevant industries.
Digital boards will flash Kalshi’s brand and messaging to customers when they walk through the venues. That includes the building’s famous marquee on Seventh Avenue. Advertising spots will also be displayed up to the Kalshi Concourse and on LED signs at the base of the arena.
MSG Networks will also showcase Kalshi advertising and content on its regional networks.
“Madison Square Garden is an iconic staple in the lineage of New York cultural history and we couldn't be more thrilled to officially become a part of the MSG family. Both MSG and Kalshi share a common vision of engaging consumers on the interests they are most passionate about - whether that be pop culture, sports, music or entertainment,” said Adam Barrick, Head of Sports Partnerships at Kalshi.
“As ‘The World's Largest Prediction Market,’ partnering with ‘The World's Most Famous Arena’ is a major milestone in Kalshi's history -- we're extraordinarily proud to partner with the best.”
Madison Square Garden has been in operation since 1879. It is owned by MSG’s family of companies, which are also in charge of Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre, the New York Knicks, the New York Yankees, and MSG Networks.
A $22 billion company
As Kalshi continues to grow its brand, it is struggling to escape the negative prediction markets news cycle that has clouded the industry.
State gaming officials are still at odds with prediction outlets, claiming that they are unlicensed gambling entities masked by federal regulation from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Renowned gambling critic and Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick appears to be entering the fight against the spread of prediction markets, as it was revealed that he tasked the state Senate with closing loopholes that allow prediction markets to operate inside state lines.
Despite the criticism, these platforms are growing rapidly. Kalshi this week completed its latest round of funding, raising $1 billion at a $22 billion valuation.
