Casino content and technology provider Light & Wonder Inc. has launched its online platforms in the newly regulated Brazilian market, which went live earlier this month. The regulated market lets players access a wide variety of content.

Light & Wonder provides a cross-platform global games company offering over 3,500 games from a worldwide network of in-house and third-party studios. The company’s commitment to high business practice standards, ranging from promoting player responsibility to implementing sustainable practices, makes it a viable part of Brazil’s safe and secure gambling ecosystem.

Having already established itself in other Latin American countries such as Colombia, Mexico, and Argentina, the company anticipates Brazil will be the largest market in the region:

“Brazil is the jewel in the crown of regulated markets in Latin America and it’s fantastic to be live in a country so rich in potential,” said Tatiana Gracá Barrenechea, Commercial Director of LATAM at Light & Wonder.

“As always, our aim is to provide players with a wide range of relevant, localized content through our content marketplace, delivered by our operator partners,” Barrenechea added. “We look forward to seeing the impact that our offering has in Brazil, as we embark on a journey that delivers entertainment to players within a safe, secure environment.”

With the launch, players in Brazil can enjoy games such as 88 Fortunes Megaways. Franchises such as Cash Falls and Ultimate Fire Link are available alongside the acclaimed franchise Pirots and multiple other third-party games.

Light & Wonder strengthens iGaming ranks

Light & Wonder's announcement to enter Brazil comes days after Simon Johnson became the company’s new iGaming CEO, with his predecessor Dylan Slaney stepping down on Nov. 19.

Johnson joined Light & Wonder in 2017 and previously served as an SVP and International Managing Director for the company. In his new role, he'll report to Light & Wonder’s President and CEO Matt Wilson, and joins the Company’s Executive Leadership Team. All of this shows the company’s iGaming commitment.

Brazil's market is getting hotter

Light & Wonder is not the only company expanding into Brazil. iGaming game provider and aggregator Bragg Gaming Group, went live with a third of licensed operators in Brazil, including Superbet, KTO, Betano, Novibet, Sportingbet, and Betboo. Light & Wonder expects to be integrated even more by the end of the second quarter of 2025.

Games Global is another leading content provider that entered the Latin American market. With its head office in São Paulo, Brazil, and subsequent satellite offices in Argentina and Chile, Games Global currently delivers over 150 games from over 40 studios, two based in Latin America. It also seeks to establish partnerships with local operators.

Payment platforms have also sought entry into the Brazilian market, with Paysafe announcing it acquired approval for a payment institution (PI) license. The PI license will let Paysafe partner with iGaming operators in Brazil to offer payment methods such as Skrill and NETELLER to Brazilian customers.
