Borgata made history in June 2018 when it became the first casino in Atlantic City to accept a legal sports wager. That bet was placed at the Race & Sports Book, a temporary setup where the Borgata has included sports betting in what was previously a horse-racing only location.

The temporary sportsbook features 100 seats, each with an individual flat-screen monitor that can be used to watch sports or horse racing. Additionally, there is a four-screen video wall and multiple smaller screens placed around the sportsbook. There are also 10 betting windows and the Boot & Whip — an in-venue bar.

When the new sportsbook opens on June 29, 2019, however, sports bettors are going to flock to the Borgata to get a glimpse of the 8,000-square-foot venue that cost roughly $11 million to build. The BetMGM Sportsbook & Bar (formerly the Moneyline Bar & Book) is located directly across from the current Race & Sports Book and the first thing bettors will notice is a beautiful 40-foot wide by 11.5-foot tall LED video wall. There will also be 17 additional 98-inch and 86-inch displays placed around the sportsbook, including three on each side of the main screen.

Placed directly in the center of the sportsbook will be a 35-foot-long bar with 19 built-in slot machines. The majority of the seats at the bar will face the main video wall and bettors will be able to choose from 24 craft beer on tap, in addition to a full bar menu. Food options from executive chef Tom Biglan include Braised-Sirloin Chili, Giant Bavarian Pretzel with Stone Ground Mustard, Fried Fish Tacos, and the signature Moneyline Burger.

Other seating options around the sportsbook include high-top tables with device-charging capabilities, U-shaped booths, and banquette seating in the VIP lounge. When it comes to placing a wager, bettors can head to one of six betting windows or use one of BetMGM's interactive sports betting kiosks.
