Sports betting sites continue to see weekly wagering weaken in the Empire State.
Numbers reported by the New York State Gaming Commission on Thursday show there was $339.9 million in mobile sports betting during the week ended April 2, down from $362.7 million the week before.
Gross gaming revenue from mobile sports betting in New York last week was $27.3 million, good for a hold of 8%. Both figures were down from the week ended March 26, when gross gaming revenue generated by the state’s nine online bookmakers was $43.8 million and the win rate was 12.1%.

FanDuel was the leading operator by handle for the week ended April 2, with $130.7 million in wagering and $14.7 million in gross gaming revenue. DraftKings ran second with $105.9 million in mobile sports betting handle and $9.3 million in revenue.
There was, however, a shakeup on the podium last week. BetMGM placed third in handle for the week with $42.8 million in wagering, dethroning Caesars Sportsbook from its usual spot. Caesars reported $40.1 million in wagering for the week ended April 2.
Nevertheless, the weekly numbers suggest BetMGM paid a price for its increased share of the wagering market, as the operator reported negative $1.8 million in revenue for the week. Caesars, meanwhile, booked $3.9 million in positive income from its weekly wagering.
