Simplebet increased both its handle and ticket count by double-digits for Super Bowl 58’s hotly contested game.
Simplebet, a leading global technology provider of micro-betting products, received over one million bets on Super Bowl 58 across its 30 regulated US jurisdictions. That’s 29% more bets than it processed for last year’s Big Game.
Overall, Simplebet took in more than 4.2 million bets during the NFL postseason, processing a half million more bets than last year. During the regular season, the operator took in 18 million bets — 60% more than the NFL’s 2022 regular season. Simplebet also posted a record $17 million in handle for this year’s Super Bowl, a 33% increase year-over-year.
The popular ‘Drive Result Exact’ option drew more than $7.7 million in handle, alone. Through that market, bettors were able to bet on whether a drive would result in a touchdown, punt, field goal attempt, or turnover on downs.
“As we reflect on our record-breaking Super Bowl performance and NFL Season, we’re thrilled to see the deep engagement from bettors across the country. The increased engagement with Simplebet markets we’ve seen this season is consistent with the overall increase in the NFL TV ratings. With such strong performance metrics across the board this season, our team will be focused on continuing the momentum by improving and expanding the product come kickoff next fall."

As advertised
Prior to Sunday’s matchup, the American Gaming Association projected that 67.8 million Americans would wager $23.1 on the “Big Game.”
Nevada set a new Super Bowl record for handle, taking in $185.6 million in wagers, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Nevada’s Super Bowl handle was 21.1% higher than last year, and 3.2% more than the previous record set in 2022.
“The Nevada Gaming Control Board congratulates and thanks all stakeholders involved for the successfully delivering such a spectacular event from the state of Nevada,” said NBCG Chair Kick Hendrick.
Books take a beating
Super Bowl 58 drew in over 200 million viewers, making it the most-watched telecast in history.
However, the Chiefs' victory, coupled with an unusually large number of successful prop bets, led to significant payouts. Despite Nevada seeing a record number of bets, sportsbooks there only managed a 3.7% hold, marking the fourth-lowest hold for the Super Bowl in the last decade.
