It sure seems like a good time to be a black-and-gold Las Vegas-based entity these days.
BetMGM, a sports betting giant, has announced a multi-year partnership extension with the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights through 2026-27.
The agreement sees the longstanding partnership – which has already been extended once before back in 2021 – continue with prominent signage throughout T-Mobile Arena, as well as exclusive promotions and co-branded content.
“BetMGM is proud to continue our partnership with the Vegas Golden Knights, giving us the opportunity to create memorable moments alongside one of the world’s most passionate hockey fan bases,” said Matt Prevost, BetMGM’s chief revenue officer. “Las Vegas is BetMGM’s hometown and an integral part of our DNA, so the Golden Knights are a natural fit for our brand.”
In addition to the continued sponsorship elements, BetMGM will host Golden Knights watch parties at various MGM Resorts destinations, while activations near T-Mobile Arena at Toshiba Plaza will be ongoing at select Golden Knights home games.
“The Vegas Golden Knights play a core role in the Las Vegas sports and entertainment experience and it’s a privilege to welcome both local and visiting fans to our properties before, during and after games,” said MGM Resorts SVP of sports and sponsorships Lance Evans. “Together with BetMGM, we look forward to co-hosting events that will allow guests to engage with their favorite teams in new and exciting ways.”
BetMGM remains NHL staple
The Golden Knights are by no means the only NHL club with strong ties to the global sportsbook, with the league and its players also tightly partnered with the iGaming and sports betting operator.
Just last year, the NHL officially announced its own multi-year partnership extension with the book, as BetMGM continues to receive major branding exposure across NHL broadcasts.
NHL superstars such as Connor McDavid and former NHL legend Wayne Gretzky have also become synonymous with the BetMGM brand, with McDavid starring in a responsible gambling commercial during the Stanley Cup Playoffs last year, and the pair previously starring in BetMGM commercials together a number of years back.
“BetMGM is a long-standing partner with the Golden Knights and a brand synonymous with this great city,” said Vegas Golden Knights president and CEO Kerry Bubolz. “We look forward to continue working together on events and activations that we know entertain our fans.”
