MLB betting has so many options beyond the traditional moneyline and Over/Under wagers, so we take a look at all the baseball prop bets on the board and bring you our favorite daily plays.

Today we're backing a powerful offense in their home away from home, expecting a solid game from a red-hot Royals outfielder, and putting a few dollars down on Fastball Freddy.

Here are our best free MLB prop bets and predictions for Friday, June 4.

Today’s MLB props and picks

Toronto Team Total Over 4.5 runs (+110)

The Blue Jays have been absolutely crushing the ball, leading the majors with an OPS of .769 and bumping that number up to .972 over the last week.

Now that they've moved closer to their true home by shipping up to Buffalo, they've continued their potent play at the plate, scoring five and six runs in back-to-back games against the Marlins.

Keep in mind that the Jays played 26 games at Sahlen Field in Buffalo last year and put up some of the best home batting numbers in the majors.

Tonight, they welcome the Houston Astros and starting pitcher Zack Greinke. The veteran has an excellent track record but has been up-and-down lately. Greinke has allowed at least three runs in five of his last seven starts, posting a 4.39 ERA over that span.

The Astros bullpen has also been below average ranking 19th in the majors in both ERA (4.41) and opponent batting average. Take the Over on the Jays team total.

Freddy Peralta Over 7.5 strikeouts (+120)

Diminutive right-hander Freddy Peralta is proving that he can handle the workload that comes with being a full-time starter. In 2019 and 2020 he totaled an impressive 162 strikeouts in 114 1-3 innings, with most of his appearances coming in relief.

With a deceptive fastball and a killer slider, Peralta is cooking as a starter this season. He is third in the majors with 13.2 strikeouts per nine innings, which ranks just behind a couple of guys named Jacob deGrom and Shane Bieber that you may have heard of.

Fastball Freddy has also been very consistent, racking up at least seven strikeouts in all 10 of his starts. And in his one appearance out of the bullpen, he fanned six batters in just two innings. Take the Over on Peralta's strikeouts total.

Whit Merrifield Over 0.5 runs (-130)

Whit Merrifield has consistently been one of the Royals' best hitters. The second baseman batted .300 over the last three seasons while plating 105 runs during his All-Star campaign in 2019.

After a slower start to this year, he's picked up his play lately, batting .308 and scoring seven runs in six games over the past week.

The Royals will be facing Twins starter Matt Shoemaker today and the right-hander has a brutal 5.90 ERA in 10 starts this season.

Shoemaker also started against Kansas City in his last outing on Sunday, surrendering five runs before getting the hook midway through the fifth inning. Merrifield scored two of those runs.
