Although the wins didn't show up against the Lakers, Kawhi Leonard is back and has made significant improvements to a Clippers team that will roll past the reeling Suns.

The LA Clippers and Phoenix Suns are two talented teams down on their luck, creating a world of opportunity when they meet on national television tonight.

With Phoenix’s offense still running inefficiently and both defenses struggling, my Clippers vs. Suns predictions highlight why the Clippers will pull out a big win on the road.

Here are my NBA picks for Tuesday, March 4.

Clippers vs Suns prediction

My best bet
Clippers -3 (-110 at bet365)

My analysis
While neither the Los Angeles Clippers or Phoenix Suns have played much defense over the last two weeks, LA’s offense can beat you at every level of the floor. The Suns, meanwhile, have been a team predicated on the mid-range shot all season and haven’t found any bit of efficiency as a result.

While LA has gone cold from outside, it’s maintained its ability to score inside the arc. With the Suns ranking second-worst in the NBA against the 3-pointer and 26th in rim defense, the Clippers should find plenty of opportunities to score.

The tough news for the Clippers is that they haven’t found success defending any shooting zone at all, but against an inefficient offense that is second-worst in location-effective field goal percentage, the scales should be somewhat balanced.

There's also Bradley Beal's status to monitor — he's been sitting out frequently while managing his calf injury. If he misses this one, Los Angeles will be allowed to hone in on Kevin Durant and Devin Booker

After falling short in two heartbreakers against the Lakers, a long-deserved victory looms for the Clips.

Clippers vs Suns same-game parlay

Clippers -2.5

Kawhi Leonard Over 2.5 threes

Ivica Zubac Over 16.5 points

The Suns have been one of the worst 3-point defenses in the NBA, and Kawhi Leonard is firing off threes at the highest rate of his entire career. He just nailed three triples against the Lakers and should have a great shot at doing so again tonight.

Considering Phoenix ranks in the bottom five in rim defense, we’ll back Ivica Zubac to score 17 points against a historically weak Suns frontcourt. Despite his recent scoring struggles, the Clippers' center dropped 25 on Phoenix in their last meeting.
