DraftKings NBA Pick6 fantasy basketball lineup for March 5

Thunder Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 31.5 points: MORE

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is truly on a different level. He just went off for 51 points on Monday in a big win over the Houston Rockets, solidifying his NBA MVP odds case in the process. While that was the first time in four games he scored more than 31.5 points, he did drop 31 in back-to-back appearances before exploding for 50+.

The Oklahoma City Thunder face the Memphis Grizzlies tonight and although they’re stout defensively, SGA has still put in work against them, scoring 67 points across two appearances.

Clippers James Harden 24.5 points: LESS

James Harden is having a respectable campaign for the Los Angeles Clippers, averaging 21.6 points. However, based on how he’s been playing, his total tonight is too high. The Beard has registered less than 24.5 points in three straight and has only surpassed that total once since the All-Star break.

LA takes on the Detroit Pistons and he only put up 18 points against them earlier in the campaign. Harden is averaging 21.1 points per game at home and just 17 points in March through two games.

Heat Tyler Herro 6.5 assists: MORE

Tyler Herro is the main man for the Miami Heat and he’s doing it all in 2024-25. We’ll focus on his playmaking here as they visit the Eastern Conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers. Herro has dished out more than 6.5 dimes in three of his last five contests and also had six assists on Monday.

He’s averaging exactly 6.5 dimes against the Cavs this season and 6.5 in March. Yes, Cleveland is solid when it comes to limiting the passing lanes, but I still expect Herro to make his presence felt as a playmaker.

Pistons Malik Beasley 4.5 threes: LESS

Malik Beasley has proven to be a key piece for the Pistons in their resurgence. He is their best 3-point shooter, averaging 4.0 makes on 9.5 attempts for a 42.2% clip from long range.

However, he’s drained more than four triples just twice in his last five. Don’t get me wrong, even sinking three or four treys in a game is something to be proud of, but his total is too juiced here. He was also just 3-for-8 from deep versus the Clippers earlier this season.

Pistons Jalen Duren 11.5 rebounds: MORE

Jalen Duren is a beast on the boards for the Pistons and also a big reason they’re flourishing. He’s averaging 10.3 rebounds but has thrived since the All-Star break, bringing down 11.6 boards in seven outings.

While he’s grabbed more than 11.5 rebounds only twice in the last five, Duren had 12 in his most recent game and dominated on the glass when he faced the Clippers last month, compiling 19 boards.

Celtics Derrick White 18.5 points: LESS

While Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum get a lot of attention, Derrick White is also a major piece for the Boston Celtics. He’s averaging 16.3 PPG this season. But, the total here is also too high for my liking. He’s scoring 18 PPG since the break and 16.6 at home. He's also been nursing a back injury of late.

He’s registered less than 18.5 points in three consecutive outings, scoring 18,16, and 17, respectively. The Portland Trail Blazers aren’t exactly an elite defensive team, but White typically hovers around the 15-18 points per night range.
