The Orlando Magic, fresh off blowing another fourth-quarter lead on Monday, will travel to Frost Bank Center to take on Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs — and we have poured over the latest NBA odds to find you the best bet from this matchup.
It was a tale of two halves for Orlando on Monday, as they held a 16-point lead over the Mavericks at halftime and ended up losing 131-129. This has been an issue for the Magic all season, who have an opportunity to seize control of the Southeast Division with the Heat also struggling.
The Magic will get their first look at NBA Rookie of the Year odds favorite Victor Wembanyama on Wednesday. Could this be a matchup between this season's and last season's winner of the award?

Magic vs Spurs predictions
I've placed several prop betson Orlando Magic players in this game, including Franz Wagner Over 18.5 points (-113 at FanDuel), and Markelle Fultz Over 3.5 assists (-125 at BetMGM), but I'm going to focus on the Jalen Suggs odds in this article.
The San Antonio Spurs are going to use a starting lineup that features Tre Jones as the point guard and Victor Wembanyama as the center. This isn't something they were doing at the beginning of the year, as the Spurs were experimenting with Jeremy Sochan at the point.
Jones is a small guard whose role is to create offense for others. He's a high-assist player, averaging 7.5 assists per game. I bring that up because Suggs is one of the best defenders in the NBA. You can't fully unleash him against a 6-foot-7 Luka Doncic but against a 6-foot-1 Jones, absolutely.
If Suggs can disrupt Jones, and ultimately the flow of the Spurs offense, it could help Orlando keep the ball out of Wemby's hands in favorable spots on the floor. Jalen's defense and ability to disrupt Jones — the main facilitator of offense for the Spurs — has me confident he could see elevated minutes on Wednesday.
On top of that, the Magic need his shooting to space the floor. The Magic lack shooters, especially with Gary Harris not playing, and they'll need someone to knock down shots when scorers Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner get in the lane, and Wembanyama forces them to kick it out.
There are just too many reasons pointing to elevated minutes for Suggs against the Spurs that it was impossible not to hit the button on one of his props, and his points prop showed the biggest edge.
Suggs is projected to score 11.4 points on Wednesday against the Spurs, which allows us to price the Over 9.5 points at -152. It's trading at -125 at DraftKings, giving us a positive expected value of 9%.
My best bet: Jalen Suggs Over 9.5 points (-125 at DraftKings)
Magic vs Spurs same-game parlay
This might have been the easiest SGP I've ever had to make because it just so happens that I have three straight bets from this matchup. Sorry if you're a Spurs fan. It's nothing personal; I just didn't see any edges we could exploit with any Spurs players.
Wagner's points prop is one I've been tracking since he returned from his ankle injury. Before Wagner was injured, he was trading with a total of 23.5. Since returning from injury, this total has stayed down in the 18.5-point range because he's been going Under the total even at the reduced number.
Eventually, he's going to start blitzing this total, so I'm taking another kick at the can here with Wagner at 18.5. Wagner is pretty crafty around the rim, and I don't think Wembanyama's shot-blocking ability will impact him as much as other players.
Fultz is in a similar situation as Wagner, as he's returning from injury, and the sportsbooks are trying to adjust his props to his minutes and current level of play with the Magic. I think the 3.5 is too low for Fultz, and he should be trading at 4.5 in his current role with the Magic.

Magic vs Spurs spread and Over/Under analysis
The Magic opened as a 5-point road favorite at FanDuel and are now trading as a 5.5-point favorite.
However, it wasn't just a simple half-move up to Magic -5.5 by the sportsbooks. This number has been bouncing around, with the Magic trading as low as -4 before climbing back up to -5.5.
At DraftKings, the total opened at 229.5 and is now trading at 226.5. It looks like this might be as far as this number drops, as we've seen some resistance from the market at 226.5, and the total being pushed back up to 227 at several other sportsbooks.
