Las Vegas and offshore sportsbooks are processing an ESPN report that Cleveland Cavalier All-Star guard Kyrie Irving has asked to be traded.

One Vegas book is keeping its future odds on the Cavaliers open while multiple offshore shops are taking Cleveland off the betting board.

Jeff Sherman, manager at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, says his book is maintaining its odds on the Cavaliers to win the 2018 NBA title at +350 and the Eastern Conference at -175.

“It’s all speculation at this point to where he might go and what [the Cavs could get back from him],” Sherman told Covers. “[Irving’s] still under contract for a few years with Cleveland so this could happen this summer, before the trade deadline or after next season.”

BetOnline.com is one of the offshore books that has taken its Cavaliers future odds down, but they have replaced it with some prop bets on where Irving will play next season.

Irving’s camp told Cleveland's front office officials he is interested in playing for the San Antonio Spurs, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

It’s important to note, Irving does not have a no-trade clause in his current contract. Irving will enter the third year of a five-year contract this season. The final year of the contract is a player option, meaning the earliest Irving could become a free agent is in the summer of 2019.

LeBron James is at the center of this story as well. Rumors are flying around Irving no longer wishes to play with James after three years as teammates in Cleveland.

A sportsperson for BetDSI.eu says the book estimates it would lower the Cavaliers odds to win the NBA championship from +400 to +700 should Kyrie Irving be traded.
