Although Indiana was taken to school by Victor Wembanyama and San Antonio on Thursday, we expect the playoff-bound Pacers to bounce back on Saturday at Accor Arena.

After getting pounded in the opener of a two-game Paris showcase, the Indiana Pacers look to rebound in the finale against the San Antonio Spurs.

Despite Victor Wembayanma dominating that Thursday clash, my Pacers vs Spurs predictions have Pascal Siakam & Co. finding their way back into the win column this weekend.

My analysis
It was an outlier of a loss for the Indiana Pacers on Thursday, as the team had kept teams under 115 points in eight of the previous nine games before getting lit on fire against the San Antonio Spurs. They were outscored 45-23 in a decisive third quarter, just the second time an opponent has hung 40+ on them in a period this season.

Fortunately, Indiana has shown an ability to bounce back after dropping games, going 4-1 SU after its last five losses while averaging 117.6 points. The Pacers have also held their own against Western Conference teams, holding a 9-5 SU mark on the season.

Although the San Antonio Spurs are a Top 10 scoring team in the NBA, their offense has sputtered lately, cracking 115 points just twice in the previous seven. They were paced by Frenchman and hometown hero Victor Wembanyama on Thursday, who wowed the crowd with 30 points, 11 boards, six assists, and five blocks in 32 minutes of work.

However, Indiana had been playing some of its best basketball before getting drilled. In fact, the Pacers have lost back-to-back games just once since Christmas.

Wemby got to showcase for the French fans in the opener, but I'm eyeing Indy to spoil the party in the finale.

Pacers vs Spurs same-game parlay

Pacers moneyline

Pascal Siakam Over 19.5 points

Devin Vassell Over 2.5 threes

Pascal Siakam attempted just 10 shots against the Spurs Thursday night, the fewest he’s hucked up since a Dec. 8 matchup against the Hornets — and he still finished with 18 points.

That’s only the third time this season that Siakam has attempted 10 or fewer shots, so expect that total to rise. The power forward had scored 20 or more points in five of his previous six.

One of the beneficiaries of the Wembanyama gravitational pull has been guard Devin Vassell, who has been lighting it up from downtown.

He drilled five of six attempts against Indiana, and he’s topped his O/U of 2.5 in six straight contests. Vassell is shooting 40.6% on more than seven attempts in nine January games, so we'll stick with the trend for one more day.
