The talent coming out of France over the last couple of years has been astounding, and Wizards guard Bilal Coulibaly has taken a huge step forward as a sophomore.
I'm backing Coulibaly against a depleted Grizzlies backcourt while also betting on All-Stars Tyrese Haliburton and Anthony Edwards in my favorite NBA picks for tonight.
Here are my three favorite NBA player props for Friday, November 8.

NBA player props for November 8
Prop bet #1: Bilal Coulibaly Over 14.5 points
Washington Wizards guard Bilal Coulibaly is coming off a game where he went 3-for-11 for nine points against a Warriors team that is second in the league in defensive rating. However, Coulibaly dropped 22, 27, 17, and 23 points in his previous four contests. With Kyle Kuzma still sidelined by a groin injury, there are plenty of shots to go around.
He should find the going easier tonight against a Memphis Grizzlies squad that ranks 14th in defensive rating and plays at the sixth-fastest pace in the league. They're also banged-up in their backcourt with Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and top perimeter defender Marcus Smart all sidelined.
Memphis allows the second-most 3-pointers per game (15.6) in the league at a clip of 36.6%. With Coulibaly shooting 44% from deep, bet on him to get back to his high-scoring ways against the Grizz.
Prop bet #2: Tyrese Haliburton Over 8.5 assists
Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton averaged a whopping 10.7 assists per game over the last two years. The reason we're seeing the O/U on his assists at 8.5 tonight is because of three poor performances to begin this season where he averaged just 3.7 apg on 9.3 potential assists per game.
That was a small sample size and he has since gotten back to his usual playmaking brilliance. He dropped 10+ dimes in his next four games while averaging 19.0 potential apg over that span.
While he had just four assists against the slow-paced, defensively solid Magic on Wednesday, he still logged 16 potential assists. More of those passes will get converted into buckets tonight against a Charlotte Hornets squad that is 25th in the league in defensive rating and 22nd in assists allowed per game (26.9).
Prop bet #3: Anthony Edwards Over 3.5 threes made
Anthony Edwards is coming off a fantastic season that saw him named to the All-NBA second team, but one area where he needed to improve was his efficiency from 3-point range. Consider that done, because the Minnesota Timberwolves guard has been on fire from deep this season.
Edwards is knocking down 46.1% of his shots from beyond the arc while averaging 5.1 treys per game. Tonight he faces a Portland Trail Blazers squad that struggles to defend on the perimeter, allowing the fifth-most threes per game (14.3) in the league.
The Blazers allowed the Spurs to shoot 16 of 39 (41%) from deep last night, and traveling to Minnesota on a back-to-back will make it tough for their exhausted defenders to challenge outside shots. With Edwards hitting 4+ shots from deep in seven of eight games this season, this looks like an easy play.
