Today’s NBA Player Prop Picks: Quiet Thunder Rings in November Plays

Darius Bazley has scored eight points or fewer in four of his six games this season, while averaging just 10 points per game overall. We're going Under on his (too high) points total tonight, highlighting our best NBA player props for tonight.

It's the first day of November, which means colder weather, sweaters, way too much pumpkin spice, and the NBA betting season in full swing! With a couple of weeks of basketball action in the books, we're starting to get an idea of how players will perform long-term — which is a big help as we look at the best NBA player prop bets of the day.

Today we're backing Hawks power forward John Collins, fading Thunder big man Darius Bazley, and expecting Al Horford to do the dirty work down low. Here are our favorite NBA player props for Monday, November 1.

Atlanta's John Collins is coming off a poor performance against the 76ers on Saturday where he scored just eight points in 31 minutes of action. But the power forward should be in a good position to bounce back with the Hawks hosting the Washington Wizards tonight.

Collins torched the Wizards for 28 points on 14-of-16 shooting from the field last Thursday and has scored at least 16 points in four of six games to begin the season.

The Wizards are once again struggling to defend inside, allowing a league-high 55.7 points per game in the paint. Collins also scored at least 17 points in all three contests against the Wizards last season and looks like a good bet to go Over 14.5 on his points total tonight.

Pick: John Collins Over 14.5 points (-128 at BetMGM)

Celtics big man Al Horford missed the first two games of the season with an adductor strain but since returning to the court, he has been his typically reliable self. The veteran is averaging 13 points and 10.5 rebounds in 30.3 minutes per game for Boston.

Tonight, Horford and the Celtics welcome the Chicago Bulls to TD Garden. The new-look Bulls are looking very good to begin the season but are struggling on the glass, ranking second-last in the league in rebounding rate. With Horford logging double digits in boards in all four of his games this year, back the Over 7.5 on his rebounds.

Pick: Al Horford Over 7.5 rebounds (-120 at bet365)

Caught in a Baze

A pair of struggling teams square off in the final game tipping off tonight as the 1-5 Oklahoma City Thunder take on the 1-4 Los Angeles Clippers. The Thunder appear to have the least talented team in the league and are 11-point underdogs for this contest.

Someone needs to get minutes on OKC, however, and power forward Darius Bazley has been one of the players benefiting from the lack of talent with increased playing time. Bazley is averaging 10 points in 26.5 minutes per game but he's been very inefficient, shooting just 36.7 percent from the field.

It's also worth noting that his scoring average is inflated by one excellent game against the Lakers last week, when he put up 20 points and knocked down four shots from beyond the arc. In his other five games, Bazley has shot a combined 1 for 21 from 3-point range so that game seems like a clear outlier.

With Bazley scoring eight points or fewer in four of six games this season, take the Under on his points total.

Pick: Darius Bazley Under 12.5 points (-120 at PointsBet)
