The final week of the NBA season is upon us, and we’re in store for a busy Sunday with 11 games on the docket.
A star-studded matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder highlights today’s slate, where I’ll be looking for Austin Reaves to continue his hot streak in my NBA picks for Sunday, April 6

NBA player props for April 6
Austin Reaves Over 18.5 points (-125 at bet365)
The Los Angeles Lakers are always front and center, and that’s more true than ever following this year’s blockbuster trade for Luka Doncic, but Austin Reaves has made some waves of his own in La La Land this season.
The fourth-year guard is not only on pace to set a career high for points per game (20.2), but he also climbed a Lakers list on Friday with his 188th made three of the season, which trails only D’Angelo Russell (226 in 2023/24) for the most in a campaign.
Friday marked Reaves’ second straight 30-point performance and his fourth in the last five games. The 26-year-old has logged Over 18.5 points in 11 of his previous 13 contests and has actually outscored LeBron James since the start of March.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are a tough shell to crack, giving up just 107.2 ppg (second), but 18.5 points feels like a low bar to clear for Reaves, who’s shot 54.5% from the field and 60% from 3-point range over his last two games.
Jalen Green Over 20.5 points (-120 at bet365)
The Houston Rockets own the best record in the NBA over the last month at 14-2 while their offense has shot up by about seven points per game over that span.
Jalen Green has been one of the key contributors to Houston’s recent run, leading the team with 21.1 ppg in March while scoring Over 20.5 points in 11 of his last 13 contests, including a 34-point performance against the Thunder on Friday.
The Golden State Warriors are an above-average defensive squad, but will have a tough time focusing on Green alone. The Rockets have done an excellent job of spreading the offense during their 14-2 run, with seven players averaging at least 13 ppg over that span.
That should open up some room for Green, who has not been gun-shy with just under 18 field goal attempts per game this season.
Deni Avdija Over 35.5 points + rebounds (-115 at bet365)
Is there any player on a bigger heater right now than Deni Avdija?
The Portland Trail Blazers forward is scoring a relatively pedestrian 16.9 ppg this season but has put up 32+ points in three of his last four contests while averaging 22.8 field goal attempts per game over that span — the fourth-most in the NBA.
Avdija has recorded Over 35.5 points + rebounds in his last four games and has hit the mark in eight of his last 13 outings. Portland’s leading scorer, Anfernee Simons, has not played in a week and remains questionable with a forearm injury, which leaves the door open for Avdija to continue to push the pace offensively for the Trail Blazers.
The San Antonio Spurs have dropped six of their last seven while giving up a lofty 121.6 ppg over that stretch, which bodes well for Avdija to have another big night on the box score.
