The Toronto Raptors skid continued last night with a humbling loss to the Utah Jazz and to make matters worse, they will now be without OG Anunoby for “a while,” Nick Nurse said.

But the Raps won’t have much time to think about that, as they play the second half of a back-to-back against the Sacramento Kings and their high-octane offense.

With both teams being shaky bets lately, which is the side to back in this NBA betting matchup? Find out in our free picks and predictions for Raptors vs. Kings on November 19.

Raptors vs Kings picks and predictions

Our predictions are compiled from the analysis of the spread and total and are indications of where we are leaning for this game.
Our best bet is the play that we like the most for this game, which we would actually put some of our bankroll behind.

Yesterday, I talked about how you should wait and see about Anunoby's status before betting the Raptors against the Jazz, and then Nick Nurse said he would be out “a while.” Not good.

Toronto held its own for a while, but in the end, without Anunoby's switchability and capacity to anchor the defense, the Raptors looked young and lost at times against a veteran Jazz team as they dropped their sixth game SU and ATS in their last seven.

That Raptors' defense, which was getting praise early in the season, is in a tailspin. During this seven-game funk, Toronto ranks dead last in the NBA opponent scoring at 113.6 points per game and opponent field goal percentage, allowing teams to shoot 50.2 percent from the floor.

On Friday, the Raps go against a Kings team that has also been struggling, losing five of their last six (1-5 ATS) but they are returning after a four-game road trip and still have an offense that can give the Raptors problems.

The Kings, led by the likes of De'Aaron Fox, Harrison Barnes, and Buddy Hield, rank seventh in offensive rating and fourth in scoring.

With no Anunoby, the defense playing the way it is, and playing their second game in as many nights, it’s hard to consider the Raptors here as short underdogs.

Prediction: Kings -3.5 (-110)

When it comes to the total, the early money has been on the Over and it’s easy to think why. With the Raptors' struggles on defense, the Over has cashed in each of their last four games. Now, they go against a Kings team that is fourth in the NBA in scoring, putting up 110.7 points per game.

And despite those struggles, the Raps' offense has played relatively well. Toronto comes in right behind Sacramento in offensive rating, ranking eighth, and has averaged 113 points over their last four games. And it’s not like the Kings are world-beaters on defense, ranking 22nd in defensive rating and 25th in opponent scoring.

Additionally, while the Raptors rank 28th in pace, they still create among the leaders in steals and deflections which allows them to get out and run, while the Kings rank eighth in pace. With the Raps legs getting heavy in a back-to-back the effort usually drops on defense first. Lean towards the Over here.

Prediction: Over 220.5 (-110)

With the incoming mess for yesterday’s game against the Jazz, we bet on Rudy Gobert to have a solid game in the paint and he didn’t let us down cashing the Over on his point total.

Today, we’ll look to take advantage of another of the Raptors' deficiencies on defense at the moment, and that is doubling when they shouldn’t and allowing teams to find an open player for corner threes. The Kings are not a team you want to do that against.

No one on the Kings takes more threes than Buddy Hield. The sharpshooting guard jacks up 10.7 threes per game. He has made four or more threes in three straight games and in six of his last nine. And now, he goes against a Raps defense that ranks 29th in opponent 3-point percentage during their seven-game funk. Take the Over on Hield’s made threes in this one.

Pick: Buddy Hield Over 3.5 Made Threes (-130)
