On Sunday, the Milwaukee Bucks host the Phoenix Suns in a rematch of last year’s NBA Finals.
When these teams met earlier in the season, the Suns earned a victory at the Footprint Center. But it was the Bucks that won the title last year and they’ll be looking to beat up on a shorthanded Suns team at home.
Will Phoenix find a way to hang around on the road against Milwaukee? Keep reading our NBA picks and predictions for Suns vs. Bucks to find out.

Suns vs Bucks picks and predictions
Our side and total predictions are based upon our analysis of the line and total in this game. Our best bet is our favorite pick across all markets.
Spread analysis
The Suns have won two games in a row heading into this NBA Finals rematch with the Bucks, but they’re still without Booker and Paul.
That’s going to make it really hard for Phoenix to hang around against a Milwaukee team that is pretty close to full strength right now. The Bucks have their entire trio of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton in this game, which leaves the Suns in a rough spot.
Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson have both been playing well for Phoenix, but those two are not going to outduel Giannis and Middleton.
If Phoenix is going to hurt Milwaukee anywhere, it’d be in the paint. With Lopez out, there’s an opportunity for Ayton to really make his presence felt around the basket.
However, Ayton didn’t play with a ton of energy against the Knicks last game, as he was significantly outperformed by Mitchell Robinson. It’s hard to trust that he’ll suddenly find an extra gear in a game like this.
The Bucks have a pretty good chance of getting hot and never looking back. The crowd is going to be into this one considering who they’re playing, even if it’s not the same Suns team that they’ve grown used to.
Prediction: Bucks -6.5 (-110)
Over/Under analysis
The Suns have gone Over the total in two of their last three games, and they have been playing at a fast tempo with Booker out thus far.
With Cam Payne starting at point guard, Phoenix is really getting out and running. The team is eighth in the league in pace of play if you only count the last two games — which is admittedly a small sample size.
If that ends up continuing, you’d regret not being on the Over. The Bucks are also sixth in the league in pace on the season.
It’s also worth noting that the Over has hit in nine of the last 11 games that these two have played against one another, and they combined to score 238 points when they met back on February 10.
The Suns did the heavy lifting in that one, but it might be the Bucks that carry Over bettors to a win this time around.
The Over is actually 8-2-1 in the last 11 games in which Phoenix has played against teams with winning records.
Prediction: Over 231.5 (-110)
Best bet
Phoenix is a really well-coached team and is going to continue to play hard and stay true to its system, but the talent mismatch is going to be overwhelming here.
With Bridges and Johnson, the Suns have an advantage on the wing against most teams, but that won’t be the case tonight.
Giannis and Middleton should easily get the best of that matchup, which is why this is going to be a game in which the Suns will miss Booker and Paul more than usual. Phoenix’s backcourt advantage is massive in a game like this, but Milwaukee will get the better play from its guards here.
The Suns are also just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games coming into this one. They’re also just 1-4 ATS in their last five meetings with the Bucks, which shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody that watched last year’s NBA Finals.
Pick: Bucks -6.5 (-110)
