The Arizona State Sun Devils only tallied three wins all of last season, but one came against the Washington Huskies. The revenge game comes tonight in Seattle as the Huskies look to keep their perfect season intact. 

The Sun Devils have lost five straight and are coming off a much-needed bye week. The Huskies just had their biggest game of the season with a win over the Oregon Ducks. Will Washington be able to quickly ground themselves from last week's high and focus on taking care of business in the college football odds this week?

The Arizona State Sun Devils were able to pull off the shocker last year over the Washington Huskies in a 45-38 victory as 13.5-point home underdogs. This season is a little different with the game being in Seattle and Arizona State having a much worse offense. The Sun Devils rank 124th in the country, averaging 18.7 points per game. 

True freshman quarterback Jaden Rashada went down with a possible season-ending injury and then transfer Drew Pyne also missed a couple games with injury. It is unlikely he will return this week and we will instead see Trenton Bourguet, who has 726 yards passing with one touchdown and two interceptions on the season. The Sun Devils have had 20 players miss a combined 59 games due to injury. 

The good news is the bye week will likely bring back three starting offensive linemen from the beginning of the season and a couple of defenders to add depth. It is much needed considering they are about to take on the undefeated Huskies who rank sixth in the country in scoring at 44.3 points per game. 

This is an interesting matchup in that both sides match up strengths and weaknesses. The Sun Devils have a solid passing attack but a terrible run game. The Huskies struggle to stop opposing pass attacks but play decent run defense. On the other side, Washington is an extremely pass-heavy offense, but the Arizona State defense has done decently well against the pass. 

As bad as Arizona State has played on offense, it has actually avoided being blown out. The Sun Devils lost to USC by 14 and only lost to Cal and Colorado by three points each. Washington has allowed 310.7 passing yards and 29.7 points per game over the last three weeks. 

I do not believe we need to put the Huskies on upset alert, but this is the perfect spot for them to have a bit of a letdown after their massive win over Oregon. The Sun Devils got much healthier after the bye week and will be able to keep this game a little more in their style, much like the Arizona Wildcats did with the Huskies two weeks ago. I will take the points here.

There are not many player props available in this game to throw into a same game parlay so we will stick to game props. 

If Arizona State is going to cover, then it is going to need to put some points on the board. The Sun Devils have scored 21 points or more in three consecutive games. I like their odds of getting that again against a leaky Huskies defense that has allowed 24 or more points in three straight. 

Finally, if we get these points from Arizona State, it is highly probable that the Over will hit. The Sun Devils have hit only one Over this season and it was against USC. We will see a very similar style game here and get another Over on the total.

One of the biggest issues facing the Sun Devils on offense is their inability to hold onto the football and avoid negative plays. The good news for them is that is not the strength of the Huskies defense. It only has eight takeaways and seven sacks on the season. It also ranks 117th in the nation in tackles for loss per game. 

When these teams are in the red zone it is highly likely that both teams are going to convert them into touchdowns. The Sun Devils have allowed 13 touchdowns on 24 red zone attempts, while the Huskies have allowed 13 touchdowns in 19 attempts. On the flip side, the Sun Devils have scored nine touchdowns in 16 attempts and the Huskies have scored 26 touchdowns on 33 attempts. 

Last year, there were 83 points scored in this matchup. I certainly would not expect that again, but I do think it will be closer to that than a sub-50-point matchup like we saw in the Herm Edwards era. The return of several key players for the Sun Devils will help contribute to a better likelihood of this Over hitting.
