The Clemson Tigers have been the college football betting favorites to win the National Championship since the preseason and nothing they've done in a dominant 6-0 start to the year has deterred that notion.
This Saturday, Clemson hosts the Boston College Eagles as 31-point favorites with the Over/Under set at 60.5. Despite that daunting line, Boston College has started the season strong and is fresh off a 48-27 win over Georgia Tech.

Against the spread (ATS) pick
Clemson is without a doubt one of the best college football teams in the nation but the lines that oddsmakers have been giving them seem a tad inflated. They've covered in just one of four home games this season, and that one cover was a reasonable line of -14 against Miami.
To us, 31 points is too much to spot a Boston College program that is 4-2 and fresh off a 21-point win. Keep in mind that the Tigers beat a 1-5 Syracuse squad last week by 26 points despite opening as massive 47.5-point faves.
Boston College has shown a ton of improvement on defense under first-year head coach Jeff Hafley, who specializes in that side of the ball.
While the Eagles surrendered a whopping 488.2 yards per game in 2019, they've cut that number down to a respectable 383.8 ypg this season. They limited North Carolina's high-powered attack to 401 yards and 26 points four weeks ago and should be able to do enough to cover this big spread on Saturday.
PREDICTION: Boston College +31 (-110)
Over/Under pick
We mentioned that the Eagles are vastly improved on defense but they've been effective on offense as well, thanks to new quarterback Phil Jurkovec who transferred from Notre Dame. Jurkovec has thrown for 1,671 yards and 12 touchdowns through six games while adding another three scores on the ground.
As for Clemson, their unstoppable offense barely needs to be mentioned. The Tigers are fourth in the country with 48 points per game against FBS foes, while ranking seventh in yards per game with 540.6.
With Dabo Swinney's squad 3-1 to the Over in their last four contests, back it again on Saturday.
PREDICTION: Over 60.5 (-110)
First half pick
Clemson is just 2-4 ATS this season but has covered the first-half spread in four of six contests.
Even if you ignore Clemson's first-half shellacking of 49-0 against FCS program The Citadel, the Tigers have dominated in the first 30 minutes of games, with an average first-half scoring margin of plus-22 ppg against FBS foes.
Boston College, on the other hand, has a first-half scoring margin of plus-0.4 ppg. Take Clemson on the first-half spread.
PREDICTION: First Half Clemson -18 (-110)
