The best game on the slate this Sunday isn’t in primetime, it comes earlier from Ford Field with the Buffalo Bills at the Detroit Lions. It’s tough to call a winner in this one, with both teams amongst the best in the league.

Given that we’re seeing two of the best, most explosive offenses in the NFL meet, it shouldn’t be a surprise that we have so many players at small prices to score a touchdown. However, there are some players at more appealing prices.

Here are my top Bills vs Lions anytime touchdown picks.

Josh Allen anytime touchdown

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve really seen Josh Allen showcasing his fantastic rushing ability. Over the first nine weeks of the season, he’d only scored three rushing touchdowns, of which two came in the opening game of the season when the Buffalo Bills beat the Cardinals.

Allen has rushed for a touchdown in each of the past four games, including a three-touchdown haul in last weekend’s loss in the shootout with the Rams. That’s underlined something that we already knew about Josh Allen, that’s that he really gets going and puts his body on the line when his team needs him most.

His nine rushing touchdowns so far this season are still short of the 18 that he racked up last year, but again, it’s worth noting that 11 of those touchdowns came in the eighth game from Week 12 onwards. When it really matters, he takes the team upon his back and will choose to rush himself in short-yardage situations.

Josh Allen and the Bills will be desperate to put down a marker in this game and show why they should be favorites to win the AFC, and what better way to do that than by beating the 12-1 Detroit Lions, who they might end up meeting in the Super Bowl itself.

The Lions have given up 12 rushing touchdowns so far this season and have been better defensively against the pass than the ground game. With that being the weakest aspect of their impressive defense, we can expect Josh Allen to do his best to find the endzone again here.

Lions anytime touchdown pick

Amon-Ra St. Brown anytime touchdown

Picking a touchdown scorer for the Lions is a harder task in many ways. They may be the highest-scoring team in the NFL with an average of 32.1 points per game, but it’s hard to find great value in the Anytime Touchdown market.

Both David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs are odds-on to score, which isn’t a surprise given that they’ve both got 12 touchdowns each. That leaves three other players in the conversation with Sam LaPorta, Jameson Williams, and our choice, Amon-Ra St Brown.

Amon-Ra is our selection and the team's next-highest touchdown scorer behind the running back duo, with nine TDs on the season. Earlier in the season, he went on a streak of scoring in eight successive games, but since Week 12’s win over the Jaguars, he has been scoreless. The three games without scoring are his longest streak since 2022, which speaks to just how important he is to this offense.

Despite not scoring, he’s still seeing a high volume of passes, with at least five receptions and six targets in those games. He also leads the Lions pass catchers in red zone targets with 16.

However, this is a game that should give him the opportunity to score once again. The Bills have given up at least two touchdown passes in four of their past five games, the only exception being a win over the 49ers at the start of the month.

The Lions will be aware of Amon-Ra’s scoreless streak and will want to get him firing again as the team prepares for a deep playoff push.
