For fans of football and “The Simpsons,” tonight's MNF matchup between the Bengals and the Cowboys is the best blend of those two things since Season 9, Episode 6.

My Bengals vs. Cowboys predictions believe the return of Dallas TE Jake Ferguson will prompt more “Woohoo!” than “D’Oh!” from NFL bettors. Kickoff from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX is at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.

The final game on the NFL Week 14 odds board is also offering an alternative animated broadcast, “The Simpsons Funday Football,” on Disney+.

Bengals vs Cowboys Monday Night Football predictions

Who will win Bengals vs Cowboys?

The odds give the Bengals a sizable nod, with the moneyline carrying an implied win probability of 70%. But if you’ve watched Cincinnati this season, you know nothing is given when it comes to this team. At least the Bengals offense is bringing more to the table than Homer's playcalling...

Dallas’ defense has its soft spots but has played much better since Micah Parsons returned. And with Cincy’s stop unit hemorrhaging points, this game could be much closer than oddsmakers expect. I’ll say Cincinnati wins, but only by a field goal.

My best bet
Pick: Jake Ferguson Over 37.5 receiving yards (-113 at FanDuel)

My analysis

With this total flirting with 50 points and two pass-heavy playbooks taking the fast field in Jerry’s World, there’s a lot to like when it comes to Overs for the biggest offensive weapons on Monday Night Football.

The Dallas Cowboys get one of those weapons back in tight end Jake Ferguson. He’s set to return to the lineup after missing the past three games due to a concussion.

Ferguson is one of QB Cooper Rush’s favorite options, as he targeted the TE a total of 16 times in their three outings together before Ferguson’s concussion early into the loss to Houston in Week 11. The 6-foot-5 Wisconsin product brought down 12 of those total passes for a collective 106 yards.

Given the makeup of this matchup, there’s a high percentage of a shootout in Arlington. The Cowboys already throw the ball at the third-highest frequency, sitting just ahead of the Cincinnati Bengals in terms of passing play percentage.

Cincinnati’s pass defense is dreadful, ranked 30th in EPA allowed per drop back, and doesn’t discriminate between WRs and TEs when it comes to allowing yardage. The Bengals have been beaten up by rival tight ends to the tune of 72 receptions for 783 yards against — sixth -most in the land.

The majority of the Week 14 player projections call for at least 40 yards from Ferguson on Monday Night Football, with the tallest forecast coming in at 46 yards. My number sits at 42 yards from the Cowboys' tight end, which gets us Over his current receiving yard total of 37.5 yards O/U.

Bengals vs Cowboys MNF same-game parlay

Jake Ferguson Over 37.5 receiving yards

Tee Higgins anytime TD

Over 49.5

Ferguson returns as one of Rush’s most reliable targets against the worst pass defense in the league.

Tee Higgins hasn’t wasted time getting back into the flow of this Bengals offense, scoring touchdowns in his last two games back from injury.

It’s tough to find a reason to bet on the Under. These two pass-heavy playbooks will get into a shootout in primetime.

Bengals vs Cowboys spread and Over/Under analysis

• Cincinnati opened as a big 6.5-point favorite on the road despite Dallas having the rest edge after winning on Thanksgiving last week. That spread has slimmed as low as -5.5.

• As for the total, it opened as short as 46.5 points and instantly drew Over money. That pushed the number all the way to 49.5 O/U.

Covers Consensus data reveals 54% of selections are laying the points with Cincinnati while 70% of total picks are backing the Over on Monday Night Football.

Bengals vs Cowboys latest injuries

“Hi, everybody!” “Hi, Doctor Nick!”

With tonight’s Monday Night Football game getting “The Simpsons” treatment, we ask that you read the below injury report in the voice of Dr. Nick Riviera. We promise it won’t take a degree from “Hollywood Upstairs Medical College” to understand.

Cincinnati will not have OT Orlando Brown Jr. on the offensive line versus this aggressive Cowboys’ pass rush. The Bengals will also be without DT Sheldon Rankins on the other side of the ball due to illness. He hasn’t played since November 7.

As for Dallas, TE Jake Ferguson is back from a concussion after missing the last three games, giving the passing game a boost. He could be called upon to help with pass protection, as the Cowboys offensive line is missing star RG Zack Martin while LT Tyler Guyton is questionable.

Defensively, Dallas could be again without top corner Trevon Diggs (questionable), which is a tough loss against this Bengals’ passing attack. Linebacker Nick Vigil is also questionable for MNF.
