What is a survivor contest?

Also known as a "survivor pool" or "last man standing," survivor contests are popular sports betting and fantasy competitions. Participants enter the contest by paying a fee or by joining a free pool, which can take place in person in offices and among family and friends or on online platforms.

How does a survivor contest work?

Each week during the NFL season, participants must select one team to win its game, but they can only choose each team once throughout the year. If the selected team wins, the participant advances to the following week. If the team loses, the participant is eliminated from the contest. The objective is to be the last man standing.

In cases where multiple participants remain at the end, tiebreakers like total points scored or playoff performance may be used to determine the winner.

The game’s simplicity is a big part of its popularity, especially among casual fans, as it requires a blend of strategic planning and good 'ol fashioned luck.

Covers $10K Pro Football Survivor strategies

Winning an NFL survivor contest often involves a combination of careful planning, research, and luck. Keep these tips in mind before signing up for our Covers $10K Pro Football Survivor contest.

Do your research: Stay up to date on team performance, crucial injuries, and NFL matchups, and delve into data from past seasons to see which teams perform well in key situations.

Balance risk: Alternate your picks between heavy favorites and potential upset candidates.

Look ahead: Analyze the schedule to plan your NFL picks. Save top teams for tougher weeks or when you have fewer safe options.

Avoid popular picks: If many participants are picking the same team, choosing a different team can help you gain an advantage if the popular team loses.

Be adaptable: Be prepared to adjust your strategy based on new information, such as last-minute NFL injuries, coaching changes, or significant shifts in team performance.

Save strong teams: Don’t use top teams early unless absolutely necessary. Save them for when they’re truly needed, especially if you anticipate a tough stretch of games later on.

Evaluate your progress: Regularly assess your strategy and adjust it based on how the season is unfolding.

Our Covers $10K Pro Football Survivor contest is open now. Sign up and claim your spot in the most thrilling NFL showdown of the year!
