Jalen Hurts Odds and Props: Hurts Finds the End Zone On Christmas

The Philadelphia Eagles need a win as much as they need to breathe, and our NFL picks expect Jalen Hurts to do whatever he can to get his team the victory over the New York Giants.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been under fire recently with the team suffering three straight defeats. They’ll have a chance to get back on track this afternoon as they host the New York Giants during the Week 16 odds slate.

The Giants came back down to Earth last week with a 24-6 loss in New Orleans after three straight victories, now sitting 5-9, while the Eagles sit at 10-4 as huge favorites at home according to NFL odds.

The time is now for the Philly QB to deliver some presents on Christmas Day, so I'll be looking at Jalen Hurts' odds to see if I believe he'll deliver them, or the sleigh will get lost.

Read on for my NFL picks surrounding the Eagles' signal caller in this holiday special. Be sure to also check out our Giants vs. Eagles picks, along with our favorite Giants vs Eagles prop bets for more analysis!

Jalen Hurts prop pick

Anytime touchdown (-165)

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has thrown for just one touchdown and two interceptions in the last three games. However, he's scored three rushing TDs, including two on Monday night in Seattle.

Going back to Week 9, Hurts has a total of eight rushing TDs in six games, with only the Cowboys keeping him out of the end zone in that stretch. Hurts leads all quarterbacks with 14 rushing scores on the season and only Raheem Mostert (18) has ran for more.

He also ran for a season-high 82 yards on 13 attempts — one shy of his season-high 13 carries against Buffalo — in Seattle last week.

The Eagles are nearly two-touchdown favorites against the New York Giants at home. New York has long been looking toward the offseason and Philadelphia knows it needs a win not only for its record, but to get some confidence back as well.

Taking Hurts to score two touchdowns at +280 (BetMGM) could be worth a look as well. He’s scored twice three separate times this season, with all of them coming in the last five games.

Jalen Hurts same-game parlay

Jalen Hurts anytime touchdown

A.J. Brown anytime touchdown

D'Andre Swift anytime touchdown

The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to score at least three touchdowns on Monday with their team total set at 27.5 points. I'm already backing Jalen Hurts to score one of those, and this may be a game where things go according to plan for the Birds.

Top wide receiver A.J. Brown hasn’t found the end zone as much as one may expect recently. He has seven TDs on the season but none in the past three games. However, it hasn't been for a lack of trying. After four straight games with single-digit targets, Brown has been targeted 13, 13, and 10 times in the past three weeks.

The Eagles haven’t gotten into the red zone much over those past three games, but Brown had five of the eight targets against the 49ers three weeks ago. The Birds only had three red-zone targets combined in the last two games.

Brown should be able to break free against the Giants secondary on Christmas Day.

Finally, with the Eagles as 14-point favorites, they should be running the ball a lot in the second half. They’ve been trying to run more recently with D'Andre Swift getting 29 carries in the last two games after just six against San Francisco. He racked up 74 rushing yards last week and came close to scoring a few times before Hurts took it in.

Swift should be able to put the cherry on top of a good game for the Birds.
