Opening line

Panthers -3, Over/Under 50

Why the line moved

UPDATE 7:45 P.M. ET THURSDAY: FanDuel opened Carolina -2.5 and first went up to -3, then got as low as -1 before ticking up to -1.5. Tickets are running about 3/1 and money 2/1 on the Panthers. The total opened at 51.5 and bottomed out at 49, then crept back up to 51.5, with tickets and money both 2/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 5:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Carolina opened -3 at PointsBet USA and dropped to -1 by this afternoon, before ticking up to -1.5. Still, the Panthers are drawing 74 percent of tickets and 78 percent of money on the spread. The total fell from 51 to 49 earlier in the week, but has since rebounded to 52 this evening. Tickets are 3/1 and money 4/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: This line has seen some back-and-forth at BetMGM's New Jersey hub, on the favorite early and the 'dog late, with Carolina taking 64 percent of tickets and 56 percent of money. "Sharps jumped on the Panthers early, helping to push the line from Carolina -2.5 to -3. But with rain in the forecast and Christian McCaffrey officially ruled out, the line has drifted back to Panthers -1," BetMGM sportsbook manager Matt Cosgriff said, noting one bettor put $110,000 on Atlanta +1.5. On the total, tickets are running 2/1 and money 3/1 on the Over. "The total increased from 48.5 to 51.5. The book will be cheering for a low-scoring game."

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Carolina opened -3 at FanDuel but has stuck at -2.5 since late Monday morning. Despite the move down, ticket count and money are both running 4/1 on the Panthers. The total dipped from 51.5 to 49 by Monday, but it's now back to the opening number, with 80 percent of bets/86 percent of money on the Over.

---

The bottom two in the NFC South get an early jump on Week 8 in the Thursday night game. Carolina opened -3 at The SuperBook, and there was no movement Sunday night.

Opening line

Lions +2.5, Over/Under 50.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 10:30 A.M. ET SUNDAY: Indianapolis opened -2.5 and was at -3 most of the week at PointsBet USA, with 73 percent of bets and 80 percent of money on the Colts. The total dipped from 51 to 49.5, with about 60 percent of bets and money on the Under.

UPDATE 4:45 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Indianapolis sat at -2.5 all week at FanDuel, then ticked up to -3 Saturday afternoon, with 71 percent of tickets and 70 percent of money on the Colts. The total fell from 51 to 49.5, with tickets and money both running about 2/1 on the Under.

---

Detroit scored a touchdown on the final play Sunday to steal a 23-22 victory at Atlanta, the Lions' third win in their last four games. Meanwhile, Indianapolis is coming off its bye week. The Colts opened as 2.5-point road chalk, and there was no line movement Sunday night.

Opening line

Packers -7.5, Over/Under 55

Why the line moved

UPDATE 12:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: The Packers are down to -5.5 at FanDuel, but money and tickets continue to run in the 9/1 range on Green Bay. The total is down to 48, with weather an issue, but tickets and money are still about 2/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 9 A.M. ET SUNDAY: BetMGM Nevada's Scott Shelton said this game easily has the largest ticket-count discrepancy, with point-spread bets running 15/1 on the Packers today. The line opened Green Bay -7, and sharp play on the Vikings early in the week took it to Packers -6, but the public is pounding Green Bay, which is now -6.5. "All the money is on the Packers," Shelton said. "This will probably be the No. 1-teased game, too. We'll need the Vikings, big time."

UPDATE 6 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The more interesting element at the moment is the total, which is down to 50 from an opener of 55. "We took sharp action on the total Under 54, 53, and 52," SuperBook manager/oddsmaker Eric Osterman said. "The weather is supposed to be cold." Indeed, the forecast calls for 37 degrees and winds of 25-35 mph. Osterman also noted that a smaller factor is Packers running back Aaron Jones (calf) missing his second straight game.

UPDATE 1 A.M. ET TUESDAY: Green Bay fell back a point to -6.5 Monday at The SuperBook, with a couple of factors in play. "There’s a few injuries going into this game," Coombs said, while also noting that Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (groin) is expected to return. "The line may have went down with solid signs of Cook playing. The Vikings are also coming off a bye week, so they have extra rest."

---

Minnesota is coming off a much-needed bye, with a 1-5 record after providing Atlanta its only win of the season in Week 6. Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay rebounded from a Tampa Bay beatdown by topping Houston 35-20 on the road Sunday. The SuperBook opened the Packers -7.5, and that line ticked to -7 Sunday night.

Opening line

Bills -3.5, Over/Under 44.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 12:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Buffalo is -4.5 at FanDuel, with tickets 4/1 and money 3/1 on the home favorite today. The total is down to 41.5, with 60 percent of bets on the Over, but money split right down the middle.

UPDATE 10:30 A.M. ET SUNDAY: Buffalo moved from -4.5 to -3.5 and back to the opener at PointsBet USA, with tickets and money both running more than 3/1 on Buffalo. The total dropped from 45 to 40, with weather at play today, although the Over is taking 55 percent of tickets/65 percent of money.

UPDATE 4:45 P.M. ET SATURDAY: This line bounced between the opener of Bills -3.5 and -4.5 a few times this week at FanDuel, and it's currently at -4.5. Ticket count and dollars bet are both running more than 4/1 on Buffalo. The total is way down, from 46 to 40.5, with windy weather and rain both potential issues. Fifty-eight percent of tickets are on the Over, but 64 percent of money is on the Under.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Buffalo is down to -3.5 from an opener of -4.5 at PointsBet USA, although points-spread tickets and money are running about 3/1 on the Bills. The total fell from 45 to 42.5 on two-way action, with 57 percent of bets on the Over and 54 percent of money on the Under.

---

New England has a combined 18 points over its last two games, both home losses, including Sunday's 33-6 blasting at the hands of San Francisco. So although Buffalo was no great shakes in an 18-10 road win over the hapless New York Jets, The SuperBook opened the Bills -3.5 and quickly moved to -4 Sunday night.

"There were a number of voices in the room that wanted to open it higher," Murray said Sunday night. "The Patriots are a mess right now, coming off back-to-back home losses against the Broncos and 49ers. The Bills aren’t great by any means, but they are the class of the division and could take a stranglehold on the AFC East with a win here."

Opening line

Bengals +3.5, Over/Under 54.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 12:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: FanDuel has Tennessee -7, thanks to a 4/1 ticket count and money running 3/1 on the Titans today.

UPDATE 10:30 A.M. ET SUNDAY: Tennessee is up to -7 from -4.5 at PointsBet USA, with 81 percent of bets and 72 percent of money on the Titans. The total is at 49.5 from an opener of 55.5, though 70 percent of tickets/84 percent of money are on the Over.

UPDATE 4:45 P.M. ET SATURDAY: The Titans are up to -7 at FanDuel, after opening -4.5, with tickets and money running more than 4/1 on Tennessee. The total is down to 50.5 from 55.5, despite 67 percent of bets and 61 percent of money going to the Over.

UPDATE 1 A.M. ET TUESDAY: Tennessee zipped to -6 Monday at The SuperBook, then backed up a notch to -5.5. "The opening market number that popped up seemed a little light," SuperBook oddsmaker Cameron Coombs said. "The Titans ended that Steeler game strong. With that, the market has steamed up."

---

Tennessee made a nice comeback that fell just short against Pittsburgh on Sunday, the Titans' first loss of the year. Cincinnati scored late to take the lead at home against Cleveland, but gave up a TD in the waning seconds to lose 37-34. The Titans opened -3.5 at The SuperBook and ticked to -4 Sunday night.

Opening line

Browns -3, Over/Under 55.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 10:30 A.M. ET SUNDAY: "This has been all Raiders, I think sharps and public," BetMGM Nevada's Scott Shelton said. The Browns opened -2 and dipped to -1, surged to -3 and are now back to -1. "Tickets 2/1 Raiders." The total is down to 48 from 54.5, with some sharp play on the Under and weather potentially an issue. "We actually need favorite and Over, which is rare."

UPDATE 6:15 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The line has bounced between 2.5 and 3 throughout the week, but the total is more noteworthy, tumbling from 55.5 to 49. "A lot of injuries to the Cleveland offense," SuperBook manager/oddsmaker Eric Osterman said. "Sharp action on Under 54 and 52.5."

---

Cleveland eked out a final-seconds 37-34 victory at Cincinnati on Sunday, but lost star wideout Odell Beckham Jr. to a knee injury, possibly for the season. Still, The SuperBook opened the Browns -3 against Las Vegas, which got outscored 21-3 in the fourth quarter of a 45-20 loss to visiting Tampa Bay.

"This feels like the kind of game where the Raiders surprise everyone and go on the road and scratch out a win," Murray said Sunday night. "Their loss today was closer than the final score indicated, and the Browns (likely) lost Odell Beckham Jr. for the year. Tough spot for Cleveland, off that great win in Cincinnati."

Opening line

-21.5, Over/Under 49

Why the line moved

UPDATE 10:30 A.M. ET SUNDAY: PointsBet USA moved the Chiefs from -20.5 to -19.5, then to -20 this morning. "As expected, we are seeing heavy action on the Chiefs, with 74 percent of spread bets and 69 percent of spread handle," PointsBet's Patrick Eichner said. The total went from 48 to 49 to 48.5, with 52 percent of bets/68 percent of money on the Under.

UPDATE 4:45 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Kansas City opened -21 and dropped to -19.5 at FanDuel, with 60 percent of tickets and 72 percent of money on the heavy favorite. The total is up to 49 from 48, but it's two-way action, with 51 percent of tickets/59 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 1 A.M. ET TUESDAY: The Chiefs are down two points to -19.5 at The SuperBook. "This number has been fluctuating up and down, between 19 and 21 points," SuperBook oddsmaker Cameron Coombs said. "I wouldn’t be surprised if it closed closer to -21. With the offense the Jets have shown, it feels like the Chiefs could be up three touchdowns by halftime."

---

The Jets are the last winless team in the NFL this season, at 0-7 SU (1-6 ATS), though they finally covered Sunday in an 18-10 loss to Buffalo as 10-point home underdogs. Defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City is 6-1 SU (5-2 ATS) and ripped host Denver 43-16 in the snow Sunday. So this game has a monster spread, the largest of this NFL season.

"We opened Chiefs -21.5 and were bet down to -20.5," Murray said. "I know everyone will want to talk about this game, but it’s really a pretty simple one. How much will the Chiefs care? Sure, they could win by more than this spread, but will they even bother to? Will they play Patrick Mahomes in the second half if they are up by 21 at halftime?

"I don’t know why they would. A big number like this will scare a lot of people off. They’ll look for somewhere else to invest their dollars."

On Monday morning, the line went down another point to K.C. -19.5.

Opening line

Dolphins +3.5, Over/Under 49

Why the line moved

UPDATE 12:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: "This is a decent-sized decision for us," BetMGM Nevada's Jeff Stoneback said, noting the Rams remain 3.5-point favorites. "It's 4/1 tickets and 3/1 money on the Rams, and there's a big parlay discrepancy in favor of the Rams."

UPDATE 10:30 A.M. ET SUNDAY: Los Angeles opened -4 but spent pretty much all week at -3.5 at PointsBet USA, with 80 percent of bets and 70 percent of money on the Rams. The total is down to 45.5 from 47. "About 70 percent of bets placed on the Over, yet very heavy money on the Under, 70 percent of handle," PointsBet's Patrick Eichner said. Some of that can surely be attributed to Dolphins rookie QB Tua Tagovailoa making his first career start today.

UPDATE 6:15 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The total is the larger mover on this game at The SuperBook, falling from 49 to 46 early in the week and sticking there. "That's reaction to Tua Tagovailoa being named the starter," The SuperBook's Eric Osterman said, noting the Dolphins' decision to start the rookie QB this week. "No sharp bets here yet. We moved to keep up with the market."

---

Los Angeles still has Week 7 work to do in the Monday nighter against visiting Chicago, while Miami is coming off a bye. The Rams opened 3.5-point road favorites, with no line movement Sunday night at The SuperBook.

Opening line

Bears +2, Over/Under 47

Why the line moved

UPDATE 1:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: New Orleans opened -2.5 at FanDuel and crept up to -5.5 by today, although this is a two-way game. The Saints are attracting 57 percent of tickets and 53 percent of money on the spread. The total is down to 41.5 from 45.5, as wind is expected to be an issue, with 54 percent of bets/62 percent of money on the Under.

UPDATE 6:15 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The total continues to fall in this game, now sitting at 42.5 at The SuperBook. "That's reaction to the way the Bears looked on Monday night," The SuperBook's Eric Osterman said. "The Bears could also be without Allen Robinson (concussion), who is their No. 1 passing option. Sharp action on Under 47 and 45."

UPDATE 11:15 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: New Orleans just moved to -4.5 at PointsBet USA, up from the opener of -4, with tickets running 4/1 and money 3/1 on the Saints. The total is down to 43.5 from 46 on two-way play, with 53 percent of tickets on the Over and 52 percent of money on the Under.

---

New Orleans hung on to edge visiting Carolina 27-24 Sunday, while Chicago is in the Week 7 Monday nighter at the Los Angeles Rams.

"We moved from Saints -2 to -2.5 quickly," Murray said. "This line may move off Monday night’s Bears-Rams game. The Saints continue to underwhelm. They’re just barely getting by week to week, even when they run into mediocre opposition."

Opening line

Seahawks -3.5, Over/Under 54

Why the line moved

UPDATE 1:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: The SuperBook is down 1.5 points on this game just since this morning, as Seattle slipped from -3 to -1.5. "Sharp guys have been hammering that side all week," SuperBook executive director John Murray said. "They took +3 (even) early in the week and +3 (-120) this weekend."

UPDATE 4:45 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Seattle is now -2.5 at FanDuel, after opening -2.5, but the book is heavy on Seahawks action, with tickets and money both running more than 4/1 on the home favorite. The total moved from 54 to 53 to 53.5, with tickets and money both 3/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: The Seahawks are -2.5 after opening -3 Monday at PointsBet USA, but money and tickets are both running more than 4/1 on Seattle in a Pros vs. Joes contest. "We are seeing pros come for the 49ers, which is why the line has moved inside the key number of 3 to 49ers +2.5 (-105). The public is all over the Seahawks coming off a loss," PointsBet's Patrick Eichner said. The total opened at 54 and briefly spent time at 53.5 early Wednesday before returning to 54. Tickets are 4/1 and money roughly 3/1 on the Over.

---

The SuperBook opened this NFC West clash at Seahawks -3.5, then the game came off the board once Seattle kicked off its Week 7 Sunday night game at Arizona. The game will go back up Monday morning.

"The 49ers crushed the Rams and Patriots on back-to-back weekends, and their power rating is starting to creep up toward where it was preseason," Murray said. "They could be a force later in the year, if they can stay relatively healthy."

Opening line

Eagles -7.5, Over/Under 43.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 7:50 P.M. ET SUNDAY: The Eagles have dialed down at PointsBet USA, sitting at -10 after peaking at -11 from an opener of -7.5. Of course, the Cowboys don't have Andy Dalton (concussion), so third-string QB Ben DiNucci, a rookie, will start for Dallas. Sixty-two percent of tickets are on the Eagles, but that late drop down in the line was apparently due to some significant Cowboys cash, as 66 percent of the money is on Dallas. The total moved from 43 to 42.5 and back to 43, with 66 percent of tickets and 72 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Three-plus hours before the Sunday night game kicks off, Philadelphia is a 10.5-point favorite at FanDuel. Ticket count remains 2/1 on the Eagles, and money is just shy of 3/1 on Philly. The total remains at 42.5, which is where it's been since Saturday morning, down a point from the 43.5 opener. Ticket count is 2/1 and money 3/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 1:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Thanks to the uncertain status of Cowboys QB Andy Dalton throughout the week, this line has varied wildly at FanDuel. The game opened Eagles -4.5 and quickly went to -7.5 on the expectation that Dalton would sit, then escalated to -11.5 by Saturday before ticking back a point to -10.5. Ticket count is about 2/1 and money 3/1 on Philadelphia. The total is down to 42.5 from 43.5, but tickets are 2/1 and money 3/1 on the Over for the Sunday night game.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET SATURDAY: FanDuel opened Philadelphia -7.5 against the banged-up, shorthanded Cowboys, and the Eagles are now up to -11.5. Ticket count is 3/1 and money more than 4/1 on Philly. The total is down a point to 42.5, with tickets 2/1 and money almost 4/1 on the Over. Dallas will not have Andy Dalton (concussion) at QB, which means third-stringer Ben DiNucci, a rookie, will make his first NFL start.

UPDATE 6 P.M. ET THURSDAY: The SuperBook put this game on the board late Wednesday afternoon, opening at Eagles -7.5 on the expectation that Cowboys QB Andy Dalton (concussion) is not playing Sunday night. By late Wednesday night, the line had already shot up two points to Philly -9.5. "We took a sharp bet on the Eagles at -7.5, which took the line up to -8.5. We then took a much larger bet from a public player at -8.5, which caused the line move to -9.5, where we are now," SuperBook manager/oddsmaker Eric Osterman said. "The line we had for this game on our lookahead (last week) was Eagles -3.5." Rookie Ben DiNucci will likely make his first NFL start, as Dallas is down to its third-string quarterback.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Cowboys QB Andy Dalton remains in concussion protocol, keeping his status uncertain for the Sunday night game. If Dalton can't go, rookie Ben DiNucci will get the start, a long way from where the Cowboys were three weeks ago, with franchise QB Dak Prescott under center before breaking and dislocation his ankle. The SuperBook at Westgate still hasn't posted this game, awaiting clarity on the Cowboys' quarterback situation.

---

As if Dallas didn't have enough injury issues, most notably losing quarterback Dak Prescott (ankle) for the season, now backup Andy Dalton's status is uncertain. Dalton suffered a concussion in the third quarter of an embarrassing 25-3 loss at Washington.

Murray said The SuperBook kept this matchup off the board Sunday night, waiting for clarity on who the Cowboys will have under center.

Opening line

Giants +10, Over/Under 47

Why the line moved

UPDATE 7:45 P.M. ET MONDAY: With kickoff about a half-hour out, Tampa Bay is up to -13 at PointsBet USA, after opening -10. Eighty-three percent of point-spread tickets are on the Bucs; however, indicative of PointsBet's sizable New Jersey customer base, only 61 percent of the money is on Tampa. The total fell from 47.5 to 44.5, then rebounded to 46.5 this evening, with tickets and money both running more than 3/1 on the Over. Among the more popular Monday night props is, as always, which player scores the first touchdown. PointsBet's Patrick Eichner said the Bucs' Rob Gronkowksi is taking the most tickets, at +1,100, followed by Bucs running back Ronald Jones at +750.

UPDATE 2:30 P.M. ET MONDAY: Tampa Bay is up to -12.5 from an opener of -10, and it's all Bucs, all day on the point spread at DraftKings. Eighty-five percent of bets and 89 percent of money are on the Buccaneers for tonight's game. The total dipped from 47.5 to 45, where it stood since Thursday, but today it ticked up to 45.5, with tickets 4/1 and money 2/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 1 A.M. ET MONDAY: FanDuel has the Bucs at -12.5, down a tick from their peak of -13 after opening -9.5. Tampa Bay is attracting 80 percent of bets and 88 percent of money on the spread. The total has been pinned at 45 since Thursday, down from the opener of 48, though tickets and money are both running about 3/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Tampa Bay opened -9.5 and topped out at -13, then ticked back to -12.5 Friday at FanDuel. Ticket count is 3/1 and money 4/1 on the Buccaneers. The total dipped from 48 to 45, with wind and showers possible, though 71 percent of tickets and 61 percent of money are on the Over.

UPDATE 6 P.M. ET THURSDAY: This game was off the board Thursday at The SuperBook, due to potential COVID issues, as Giants offensive lineman Will Hernandez tested positive Wednesday night and a Buccaneers equipment staffer also tested positive. Tampa Bay was up to -10.5 before the game came down, and the line will go back up once there's more clarity on whether this game is played as scheduled Monday night.

---

Tampa Bay is atop the NFC South at 5-2 (4-3 ATS), while New York is at the bottom of the NFC East at 1-6 (4-3 ATS). So The SuperBook opened the Bucs 10-point favorites in the Week 8 Monday night game, with no early line movement.

Opening line

Pick, Over/Under 45

Why the line moved

UPDATE 1:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: FanDuel opened the Chargers -1.5 and stretched to -3.5 by Saturday, then receded a tick to -3 this morning. Tickets and money are about 2/1 on Los Angeles. The total opened at 44.5, peaked at 45.5 and dipped to 44, then returned to the opener Saturday, with tickets and money about 3/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 1 A.M. ET TUESDAY: The Chargers bolted from pick to -3 Monday at The SuperBook. "The Chargers' power rating has improved tremendously over the last few weeks. It’s also been reflected in the movement in odds," Coombs said.

---

Denver got throttled at home 43-16 by Kansas City on Sunday, while Los Angeles claimed a 39-29 home win over Jacksonville. The SuperBook figured it was a coin toss and opened at pick, and the Chargers moved to -1.5 by late Sunday evening.

Opening line

Ravens -6, Over/Under 48.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 12:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: BetMGM Nevada's Jeff Stoneback said the public is on the Steelers heavy, particularly with parlay play. However, there's a $100,000 bet on Ravens -4.5, so the book could end up needing Pittsburgh as kickoff approaches. Money is almost 5/1 on the Ravens for point-spread straight bets, thanks in large part to that large wager.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: The Ravens opened -5.5 and sped to -3.5 by Monday afternoon at PointsBet USA, and the line is currently -4. Betting splits bear that out, with the Steelers attracting 71 percent of tickets and 86 percent of money in a Pros vs. Joes game. "Joes on the Steelers side being undefeated, while pros actually like the Ravens at home," PointsBet's Patrick Eichner said. The total is at 46.5 from an opener of 49, although tickets and money are both running about 2/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 1 A.M. ET TUESDAY: This spread quickly got cut almost in half, dropping to Ravens -3.5 on Monday at The SuperBook. "In a rivalry game, the Ravens being favored by 6 seemed like a lot of points to start," SuperBook oddsmaker Cameron Coombs said. "With the Steelers beating the Titans, that number has been creeping down. I’m anticipating solid two-way betting leading up to this game."

---

Pittsburgh is 6-0 SU and a stout 5-1 ATS, as well, while Baltimore (5-1 SU, 3-3 ATS) has only a loss to Kansas City. The Ravens are coming off a bye and playing at home in this 1 p.m. ET Sunday clash.

"We opened the Ravens up at -6 in what really should be the Sunday Night Football game next week," Murray said, noting that the line dipped a notch to Ravens -5.5 late Sunday. "This is a great matchup, and we get it again on Thanksgiving night. It’s also a great handle game. The Ravens will get a ton of support on the point spread and in moneyline parlays, but I also expect there to be a lot of takers on the Steelers. They are undefeated and have a huge following."

On Monday morning, this number was the biggest mover on the board, going all the way down to -4.
