Teams on bye: Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals

Opening line

49ers +2.5, Over/Under 50.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 8:10 P.M. ET THURSDAY: The Packers opened -4 and jumped to -7.5 at PointsBet USA, but tonight have dialed down to -6. Still, tickets are running more than 4/1 and money more than 3/1 on Green Bay. The total dropped from 52 to 48.5, though action is very much two-way play, with 51 percent of bets on the Over and 52 percent of money on the Under.

UPDATE 6:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: The SuperBook at Westgate opened this game at Packers -2.5 and twice this week took it off the board, due to the 49ers' mounting injury and COVID issues. After reopening at Green -6.5 Wednesday, the line got to -7.5 this morning. "We didn't take too much money on the Packers, just keeping up with the market," SuperBook manager/oddsmaker Eric Osterman. "This morning, we took some sharp action on the 49ers +7.5, and the line has since moved to Packers -7 even money. At -7 even, we have gotten nothing but public money on the Packers. We will have a pretty good decision and will need the 49ers."

UPDATE 5:15 P.M. ET THURSDAY: William Hill US opened Green Bay -2.5 and, thanks to all the injury and COVID news surrounding the 49ers, reached -7 Wednesday night and stuck there. Eighty-five percent of point-spread tickets and 90 percent of point-spread dollars are on the Packers. William Hill US director of trading Nick Bogdanovich said the bulk of the liability on the Packers is at -6, and there's a big need on the 49ers tonight.  The total dipped from 51 to 48.5, with 54 percent of bets on the Over, but 62 percent of money on the Under.

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: BetMGM's New Jersey hub had the Packers -7 earlier today, up sharply from the opener of -3, thanks to the 49ers' injury and COVID issues keeping several key contributuos out tonight. Then the line actually ticked down to -6.5. "Sharp money has come in on San Francisco. The Niners will be shorthanded, but some bettors think they can keep it closer than the spread," BetMGM sportsbook manager Matt Cosgriff said. Still, the public is all over Green Bay, which is attracting tickets and money at a 4/1 rate. The total is down to 47.5 from 51, with 59 percent of tickets on the Over and 56 percent of handle on the Under.

UPDATE 11:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: FanDuel opened the Packers -2.5, before the news of 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) and George Kittle (foot) missing this game and perhaps several more. That was followed by reports of COVID issues in 49ers camp, and earlier today, the team announced wideouts Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel were on the reserve/COVID list and wouldn't play Thursday night. Those two landed on the list after fellow wideout Kendrick Bourne tested positive, so he's out Thursday, too. In response to all that, this line is now up to Packers -7, with ticket count and money both beyond 9/1 on Green Bay. The total moved from 50.5 to 51.5 early, then dipped to 48.5 today, with ticket count split 50/50 but 68 percent of money on the Under.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: This game has now been on and off the betting board twice at The SuperBook. It went back up Wednesday afternoon at Packers -6.5, and a few hours later, the 49ers' COVID issues continued to grow. Wideouts Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, as was left tackle Trent Williams. The line is now at Green Bay -7, and the total is down to 48.5.

UPDATE 1:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: The 49ers on Wednesday morning shut down their practice facility after a player tested positive for COVID-19, with that player then going into self-quarantine. That prompted The SuperBook at Westgate to take this game off the board at 8:15 a.m. PT (11:15 a.m. ET). Prior to that decision, the Packers were up to -5.5, and the total was 50.

UPDATE 6 P.M. ET TUESDAY: The SuperBook put this game back up on the board Tuesday morning at Packers -4, and it's now out to -5.5, with San Francisco down QB Jimmy Garoppolo (high ankle sprain) and tight end George Kittle (broken foot). "We have taken two-way action on the game, but the line move is to stay out in front of the market," SuperBook manager/oddsmaker Eric Osterman said. "The total has also gone down. We reopened 52 and are now at 50. There has been some sharp money on the Under, but nothing big."

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: The SuperBook took this game off the board today on the news of Packers backup running back AJ Dillon testing positive for COVID-19. Before the line came down, the Packers were still at the opener of -2.5, while the total had ticked from 50.5 to 51. The game will go back up when there's clarity on Green Bay as it goes through league COVID protocols. Additionally, the Niners have mounting injury issues, with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (high ankle sprain) and tight end George Kittle (broken bone in foot) out indefinitely, along with a host of other notable players battling various injuries.

---

"We opened Packers -2.5 and are still there," Murray said Sunday night. "The public will be all over the Packers here. They’ll fall in love with the cheap road favorite, especially after seeing the 49ers get rolled today." Indeed, San Francisco went to Seattle as a 1-point underdog and trailed 30-7 in the fourth quarter, though the Niners rallied to make it respectable in a 37-27 loss.

Opening line

Bills +3, Over/Under 51

Why the line moved

UPDATE 12:50 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Seattle remains -3 at DraftKings, despite a huge advantage in tickets and money, at 87 percent and 89 percent, respectively. The total is up to 55, with tickets 3/1 and money 5/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 10 A.M. ET SUNDAY: Seattle opened -2.5 at PointsBet USA and has been at -3 since Thursday, with 88 percent of bets and 71 percent of money on the Seahawks. The total went from 51 to 55.5 and is now 55, with 71 percent of bets and 76 percent of hande on the Over.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET SATURDAY: FanDuel opened Seattle -2 and is up to -3, with bettors all over the Seahawks, to the tune of 90 percent of tickets and 86 percent of money. The total opened at 52.5 and initially dropped to 51.5, but is now up to 54.5, with 84 percent of tickets on the Over, but just 55 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Seattle opened -3 at DraftKings, bounced to -2.5 a couple of times and has stuck at -3 since Tuesday. Early point-spread betting is all Seahawks, at nearly 9/1 on tickets and money. The total opened at 53, dropped to 51, surged to 55 and is now 54.5, with 76 percent of bets and 89 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 6 P.M. ET TUESDAY: This line bounced between Seahawks -3 and -2.5 a couple of times and is currently at the opener of -3. "Significant parlay money on the Seahawks already," The SuperBook's Osterman said. The total is the bigger mover, from 51 to 54.5. "We have taken sharp money on the Over."

---

The Seahawks, coming off a nice win over the 49ers, opened -3 (even) and stuck there Sunday night for this cross-country trek to Buffalo next weekend.

"This will be one of our most one-sided games on Sunday," Murray said. "Buffalo is 6-2, but really hasn’t been that impressive. Seattle rolled again today. This will be a huge-need game for us on Sunday."

Opening line

Falcons -4.5, Over/Under 47.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 12:55 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Atlanta is back out to -4.5 at DraftKings, but this remains very much a two-way game, with the Falcons landing 51 percent of tickets and 54 percent of money on the spread.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET SATURDAY: FanDuel opened the Falcons -4, ticked down to -3.5 and is now at -4.5 in a game with two-way action leaning toward the road underdog. Denver is taking 60 percent of bets and 59 percent of money on the spread. The total moved from 47.5 to 50 to 49.5, with 54 percent of bets and 74 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The Falcons moved from -4 to -3.5 and back to -4 at DraftKings, with ticket count dead even and 56 percent of point-spread money on the Broncos. The total went from 47.5 to 50 by Monday and stayed there all week, with 63 percent of bets and 79 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 6 P.M. ET TUESDAY: The line dialed back a notch to Falcons -4 at The SuperBook, though the more noteworthy move is on the total, from 47.5 to 50. "We haven't seen any sharp money on the total, but the market has moved up significantly," Osterman said. "With the Broncos' running backs healthy, they proved that they can score. The Falcons' offense has also been clicking lately."

---

The Broncos trailed the Chargers 24-3 midway through the third quarter Sunday, but rallied for a 31-30 victory, capped by a touchdown on the game's last play. Atlanta notched a 25-17 win at Carolina in the Week 8 Thursday nighter, so the Falcons will have a little more rest this week. There was no movement on the line or the total Sunday night at The SuperBook.

Opening line

Titans -6.5, Over/Under 46.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 12:50 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Tennessee is -6 at DraftKings, but Chicago is the more popular play, with 59 percent of tickets and 67 percent of money.

UPDATE 10 A.M. ET SUNDAY: The Titans bounced between -5.5, -6 and -6.5 this week at PointsBet USA and currently stand at -6.5. Chicago is taking 53 percent of spread tickets, while Tennessee is getting 59 percent of spread money. The total moved from 46.5 to 47.5 to 47, with 62 percent of bets on the Under and 61 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Tennessee opened -6.5 at FanDuel, dropped to -5.5 and crept back to -6.5 by Friday, with ticket count now dead even and 63 percent of money on the Titans. The total moved between 46.5 and 47.5 all week and is currently 47, with 54 percent of bets on the Under and 59 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Tennessee is up to -6.5 from -5.5 at DraftKings in another two-way game, with 51 percent of tickets on the Bears and 59 percent of money on the Titans. Earlier today, the total inched up to 47 from the opener of 46.5, with 53 percent of bets and 59 percent of dollars on the Over.

---

"We opened Titans -6.5 and took some money on the Bears, and moved down to 6," Murray said. "All of a sudden, the Titans are on a losing skid, and we know the Bears are almost always a popular betting option with the public. This may be that rare game where we need the favorite."

Opening line

Vikings -3.5, Over/Under 53.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 10 A.M. ET SUNDAY: PointsBet USA opened Minnesota -3.5 and moved to -4, then back to -3.5, with 69 percent of bets and 62 percent of money on the Vikings. The total is at 51.5, from an opener of 53.5 and a low of 51, with 59 percent of bets on the Over, but 53 percent of money on the Under.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET SATURDAY: FanDuel opened the Vikes -2 and peaked at -4.5, but the line nudged down to -3.5 Saturday, partly due to news that Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford appears set to play. Stafford was in COVID protocol, getting tested each day, but all those tests have been negative so far, and if that remains so Sunday morning, he's a go. Later Saturday, the line ticked back up to Vikes -4, with tickets and money both running more than 3/1 on Minnesota.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Minnesota is out to -5 from an opener of -3 at DraftKings, largely due to the uncertain status of Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford hasn't tested positive for COVID but is in the league's COVID protocol due to a close non-NFL contact testing positive. If he continues to test negative, he could play Sunday. Betting splits on this game aren't yet available.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: The SuperBook took this game off the board this afternoon on news that Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. While Stafford is asymptomatic, he cannot practice, though if he consistently tests negative between now and Sunday, and remain asymptomatic, he could play. The Lions were at +4 and the total 52.5 when the game was taken down.

---

Minnesota snagged a nice 28-22 upset win at Green Bay on Sunday, while Detroit got rolled at home 41-21 by Indianapolis. The SuperBook opened the Vikings -3.5 and the total 53.5, and there was no movement Sunday night.

Opening line

Colts +2.5, Over/Under 45

Why the line moved

UPDATE 12:50 P.M. ET SUNDAY: The Colts are now -1 at DraftKings, despite money and tickets running in the 9/1 range on the Ravens, so there's clearly sharp play on Indianapolis.

UPDATE 9 A.M. ET SUNDAY: BetMGM Nevada saw sharp play on both sides of this game, first on the Colts at the opener of +3 and +2.5 and +2, then Saturday on the Ravens at pick. The line is now Baltimore -1. "Tickets are 6/1 Ravens and money is like 10/1 Ravens," BetMGM's Scott Shelton said.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET SATURDAY: FanDuel opened this game at Ravens -4, and by Friday the line jumped the fence to Colts -1.5, before reverting to Ravens -1.5 today. Tickets and money are both running nearly 9/1 on Baltimore.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET FRIDAY: DraftKings opened the Ravens -3.5, but this line jumped the fence today to Colts -1, despite ticket count and money both in the 9/1 range on Baltimore. The total is up to 48 from an opener of 45, with 78 percent of bets and 90 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Baltimore peaked at -3 and is now down to -1.5 at The SuperBook. "We are seeing a lot of Ravens money, but the line has moved from Ravens -3 to Ravens -1.5," The SuperBook's Eric Osterman said, noting it's public play on Baltimore. "We took sharp action on the Colts at +3 and +2.5."

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: This game went back on the board Tuesday afternoon at Baltimore -3 and almost immediately dropped to -2.5 at The SuperBook. The total reopened at 44.5 and hiked to 47 by this morning.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey tested positive for COVID-19, so The SuperBook took this game off the board today while awaing clarity on the situation.

---

"We opened the Ravens -2.5 and quickly moved to -3," Murray said. "Interesting game. We’ve really only seen Baltimore beat bad teams. And the Ravens just lost Ronnie Stanley for the year."

Stanley, Baltimore's All-Pro left tackle, suffered a broken left ankle in Sunday's 28-24 home loss to Pittsburgh.

"The Colts are quietly 5-2 and probably should be 6-1," Murray said. "Look for the public to back the Ravens, but they’ll be more hesitant to jump in on this one than they are with the Packers and Seahawks."

Opening line

Chiefs -11.5, Over/Under 51

Why the line moved

UPDATE 12:50 P.M. ET SUNDAY: The Chiefs are down to -10 at DraftKings, but the betting splits don't reflect that, with tickets 4/1 and money 5/1 on Kansas City ahead of kickoff.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Kansas City quickly moved from -10 to -12.5 at FanDuel, then crept down to -9.5 by Saturday night. Still, ticket count is 3/1 and money 5/1 on the Chiefs. The total moved from 50.5 to 52.5 to 51.5, although the Over is taking practically all the tickets and dollars at FanDuel.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET THURSDAY: The Chiefs opened -10.5 at The SuperBook, very briefly went to -12.5 Monday morning, then dipped to -10.5 by Monday afternoon, where the line stabilized. There was actually no movement midweek off the news that Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey is set to return from a high ankle sprain suffered in Week 2. "That line is accounting for McCaffrey," SuperBook manager/oddsmaker Eric Osterman said. "Even though he is a great player, running backs don't affect the line too much. This game would probably be 11 or 11.5 without McCaffrey."

---

Kansas City went off as a 19.5-point home favorite against the New York Jets on Sunday, the largest spread so far this season, and coasted to a 35-9 win and cover. Carolina lost at home to Atlanta 25-17 as a short fave in the Thursday nighter. So it's no surprise that Murray & Co. opened the Chiefs -11.5. There was no movement Sunday night on the line or the total.

Opening line

Jaguars +7, Over/Under 51.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 12:55 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Houston is -7 at DraftKings, with ticket count almost dead even, but 68 percent of money on the Texans.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SATURDAY: The Texans are 6.5-point favorites at FanDuel, after opening -5.5 and peaking at -7. Tickets and money are running 8/1 on Houston. The total is down to 49.5 from 51.5, with 62 percent of bets and 55 percent of money on the Under.

UPDATE 5:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Houston opened -6, peaked at -7.5 and is now -7 at DraftKings, with 70 percent of bets/84 percent of money on the Texans. The total moved from 51 to 51.5, then down to 50 and is now 50.5, with tickets and money more than 8/1 on the Over.

---

Both these teams are coming off a bye, and both needed it: Houston is 1-6 SU and ATS, and Jacksonville is 1-6 SU and 2-5 ATS. The first move on this game was toward the home 'dog, with the Jaguars moving to +6.5 Sunday night. The total was stable at 51.5.

Opening line

Washington -3, Over/Under 43

Why the line moved

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Washington is at -3, after opening -3.5 and dipping to -2.5, with New York taking 58 percent of bets/65 percent of money on the spread. The total is up to 43.5 from 41 on two-way action, with 53 percent of tickets on the Under and 54 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 5:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Washington opened -1 and got to -3.5 before receding to -2.5 at DraftKings, where 58 percent of bets and 60 percent of dollars are actually on visiting New York. The total went from 42.5 to 41, then back to 42.5, with tickets 3/1 and money more than 6/1 on the Over.

---

New York is 1-6 SU, Washington is 2-5 SU—and they're both in the hunt for a division title in the awful NFC East. The SuperBook moved Washington to -3.5 Sunday night, while the total stuck at 43.

Opening line

Chargers -3, Over/Under 52.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 3:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: This line jumped the fence to Raiders -1 at The SuperBook. "Our liability is on the Raiders and the Over here," SuperBook risk manager Cameron Coombs said. "I expect the public to roll their early cashes into this game, too. We will be Chargers fans today."

UPDATE 1:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: The Raiders  are now a 1-point favorite at DraftKings, with tickets running 2/1 and money almost 3/1 on Las Vegas. The total opened 52.5 and reached 54, then dropped to 51.5 and is now 52.5, with 77 percent of bets and 83 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Los Angeles opened -2.5 at FanDuel and spent most of the week at -1.5, with tickets and money in the 3/1 range on Las Vegas. The total moved from 52.5 to 54, then down to 51.5, although 89 percent of bets/87 percent of dollars are on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET THURSDAY: "We have been taking steady sharp money on the Raiders. The line opened Raiders +3 and is now a pick," The SuperBook's Eric Osterman said. "The total opened at 54 and is now 51.5. We haven't taken much sharp action on the total, but we are keeping up with the market."

---

Las Vegas ground out a 16-6 win at Cleveland on Sunday, while Los Angeles blew a 24-3 lead at Denver and lost 31-30. So bettors quickly cut this spread in half Sunday night, with the Chargers dropping to -1.5 at The SuperBook.

"We did take some Raiders money, and that line was put up before yet another epic Chargers collapse," Murray said.

Opening line

Steelers -13.5, Over/Under 42

Why the line moved

UPDATE 3:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Pittsburgh made a couple of trips to -14.5 today at The SuperBook and is currently -14 against a depleted Dallas squad. "Our liability is on the Steelers. They are also a popular moneyline parlay play," The SuperBook's Cameron Coombs said. Unlikely as it may seem, the book would love a Cowboys outright win.

UPDATE 1:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Pittsburgh moved from -13.5 to -14.5 to -14 at DraftKings, with ticket count and money both in the 6/1 range on the Steelers. The total is up to 44 from 41.5, with tickets and cash about 3/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SATURDAY: This line opened Pittsburgh -9.5 at FanDuel, then came off the board while waiting to learn the status of Dallas QB Andy Dalton, who this week was put on the reserve/COVID list. The line was rehung at Steelers -13.5 Tuesday afternoon. It now appears Dallas will start third-string journeyman Garrett Gilbert, so it's no surprise this line crashed through two touchdowns and is now Pittsburgh -14.5. Tickets and money are in the 9/1 range on the Steelers. The total is up to 43.5 from 41.5, with ticket count 3/1 and money 9/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 5:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Pittsburgh opened -13.5 and broke through -14 to reach -14.5 earlier today at DraftKings, where 88 percent of point-spread bets and 95 percent of point-spread dollars are on the Steelers. The total is up to 43 from 41.5, with money and tickets both in the 5/1 range.

UPDATE 6 P.M. ET TUESDAY: The Cowboys announced today that Andy Dalton will once again sit out this week, not due to the concussion suffered in Week 7, but because he's been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. So the starter will either be rookie third-stringer Ben DiNucci again or Cooper Rush, recently signed to the practice squad. Regardless, This afternoon, The SuperBook opened Pittsburgh -13.5 and the total 42. "We usually get sharp players that will take the 'dog with such a big number. The public will be all over the Steelers on parlays and teasers," Osterman said. "I would expect the number to stay where it is, because there will be a lot of sharp money if it goes to 14." There was no movement yet on the line or the total.

---

Pittsburgh rallied from a 17-7 halftime deficit to beat Baltimore 28-24 on the road Sunday, while Dallas and third-string QB Ben DiNucci lost at Philadelphia 23-9 in the Sunday nighter. Murray said The SuperBook held off posting the Steelers-Cowboys line, waiting for clarity on whether Andy Dalton (concussion) returns at QB or if the rookie DiNucci is again the starter.

Regardless, the Steelers will likely be laying double digits. Murray said the line will be in the range of Pittsburgh -10 if Dalton starts for Dallas and Pittsburgh -13 if DiNucci starts.

Opening line

Cardinals -5.5, Over/Under 48

Why the line moved

UPDATE 3:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Arizona dropped from -5.5 to -4 earlier in the week, then rebounded back to the opener and is now -6 at The SuperBook. "The public is on the Cardinals, which is kind of surprising, considering they loved Tua Tagovailoa last week," SuperBook risk manager Cameron Coombs said, alluding to Miami's rookie quarterback. "The Cardinals are another popular moneyline parlay piece."

UPDATE 1:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Arizona dipped form -5.5 to -4 early at DraftKings, then jumped to -6 today and is now -5.5, with ticket count and money both 3/1 on the Cardinals. The total opened at 47.5 and got to 49.5 before ticking back to 49, with 70 percent of bets and 61 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Arizona moved from -5 to -5.5 early in the week, then dipped to -3.5 by Wednesday, which is where the line is now. Despite that drop, ticket count and money are both running more than 4/1 on the Cardinals. The total is up to 49.5 from 47.5, with 56 percent of bets on the Under and 63 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET THURSDAY: "A Pros vs Joes game," The SuperBook's Eric Osterman said, noting the Cardinals moved from -5.5 to -4, then up to -5 before ticking down to -4.5. "We have taken some sharp money on the Dolphins at +5. Parlay money is heavy on the Cardinals moneyline."

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: The SuperBook re-upped this game Tuesday afternoon at Arizona -4 and crept to -5 by this morning, then ticked back to -4.5. The total is pinned to 48.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: This game was taken off the board Sunday night, and the SuperBook on Monday briefly put it back up, with the Cardinals down to -4.5 from the opener of -5.5. But as noted below, Arizona had two positive COVID tests over the weekend, including with linebacker Devon Kennard. The SuperBook again took down the game while awaiting more clarity on the Cardinals' situation.

---

Arizona had a bye this week, and perhaps that was fortuitous, as there were reports Sunday that two players tested positive for COVID-19 this weekend. That news broke after The SuperBook posted the opening number of Cardinals -5.5, and the book then took the game off the board while awaiting clarity on the situation. Miami, behind rookie QB Tua Tagovailoa, is coming off a solid 28-17 home win over the Los Angeles Rams.

Opening line

Buccaneers -4.5, Over/Under 54.5

Why the line moved

UPDATE 7:45 PM. ET SUNDAY: Shortly before kickoff, PointsBet USA has Tampa Bay at -3, after opening -4.5 and moving as high as -5.5 early in the week. Tickets are running just over 2/1 and money 3/1 on the Buccaneers. The total bottomed out at 50.5 after opening 54.5, it's now at 51, and perhaps surprisingly, ticket count is still running 4/1 and money 3/1 on the Over. Among the more popular props is which player will score the first touchdown. Antonio Brown, in his first game with the Bucs, is getting 29 percent of the tickets, at 11/1. Alvin Kamara (7/1) is taking the second-most tickets, at 23 percent.

UPDATE 5:15 P.M. ET SUNDAY: About three hours ahead of kickoff, this line has closed in to Buccaneers -3.5 at The SuperBook, after opening -4.5 and topping out at -5.5 early in the week. "Solid two-way action on this game," SuperBook risk manager Cameron Coombs said. "It'll become more of a decision as the public rolls their tickets into it from the rest of today's games."

UPDATE 1:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: After opening -4.5, Tampa Bay peaked at -5.5, but today is down to -5.5 at DraftKings, with the Bucs taking 54 percent of tickets and 61 percent of money on the spread. The total is down to 50.5 from 54.5, with weather potentially an issue, but ticket count is still 3/1 and money 5/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Tampa Bay moved from -4 to -5.5, then back to -4.5 at FanDuel, with 61 percent of tickets/59 percent of dollars on the Buccaneers. The total fell from 54.5 to 50.5 on interesting splits, with 78 percent of bets on the Over and 62 percent of money on the Under.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET THURSDAY: After stretching to -5.5 early in the week, Tampa Bay is down to -4 at The SuperBook. "We have taken sharp money on the Saints spread and moneyline. The parlays have been on the Saints also," The SuperBook's  Eric Osterman said. "We will need the Bucs for a pretty good-sized decision."

UPDATE 6 P.M. ET TUESDAY: Tampa Bay moved to -5.5 by this morning at The SuperBook, then ticked back to -5. "The spread was originally adjusted because of the way that the Saints looked against the Bears," Osterman said, alluding to New Orleans' lackluster overtime win. "We have since gone back to Bucs -5. We have a good amount of public money on the Saints already, so no need to be higher than -5."

New Orleans blew a 20-3 lead but got out of Chicago with a 26-23 overtime victory Sunday, while Tampa Bay still has Week 8 work to do in the Monday nighter at the New York Giants.

"We opened Bucs -4.5 and are still there," Murray said Sunday night. "The Saints seem to barely escape week after week. Drew Brees can’t throw the ball more than 10 yards down the field. I think the public will bet the Bucs pretty hard here, especially if they roll the Giants on Monday night."

The total was also stable Sunday night at 54.5.

Opening line

Jets +7.5, Over/Under 41

Why the line moved

UPDATE 7:40 P.M. ET MONDAY: The Patriots opened -7 at FanDuel and have been stable at -9.5 since Saturday afternoon, in a game drawing two-way action with a lean toward New England. The Pats are attracting 59 percent of tickets and 60 percent of money on the point spread. The total is up to 42.5 from 41, but the Under is the more popular play, drawing 64 percent of bets and 59 percent of dollars.

UPDATE 6 P.M. ET MONDAY: PointsBet USA opened New England -7.5 and initially moved to -7 before beginning the climb to -10, with New York missing Sam Darnold (shoulder) for tonight's game. The betting splits are rather interesting, though, with the Patriots getting 64 percent of tickets, but the Jets landing 55 percent of money on the point spread. The total opened at 41 and is now 42.5, though tickets and money are running 61 percent and 67 percent, respectively, to the Under.

UPDATE 2:30 P.M. ET MONDAY: New England opened -7.5 at DraftKings, where the line was relatively quiet until Friday, when it began an upward trajectory that now has the Patriots -10. Much of that was aided by the news that New York QB Sam Darnold will not start tonight. The Patriots are landing 68 percent of bets and 70 percent of money on the point spread. The total opened at 41.5 and touched 41 a few times, but it's now at a high point of 42.5, with ticket count 6/1 and money 5/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET SUNDAY: The Patriots bounced between the opener of -7.5 and -7 early in the week at PointsBet USA, then shot all the way up to -10 Saturday. New England is getting 72 percent of bets and 68 percent of money on the point spread. The total opened at 41 and went to 42.5, then back to 41 on two-way action, with 58 percent of tickets on the Under and 53 percent of money on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SATURDAY: After opening -7 and hitting -7.5 Thursday, New England jumped two points Saturday to -9.5 at FanDuel. The betting splits reflect the move, with 78 percent of tickets and 87 percent of money on the Patriots. The total initially moved from 41 to 42.5, but dipped to 40.5 earlier today, as the Under is taking 64 percent of bets/54 percent of money.

UPDATE 5:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: New England moved from -7.5 to -7 a couple of times early in the week at DraftKings and is now at the opener of -7.5. Point-spread ticket count is 2/1 and money almost 3/1 on the Patriots. The total moved from 41.5 to 42.5 to 42, with 57 percent of bets and 53 percent of money on the Under.

Post-Tom Brady, New England is a shell of itself, with a 2-5 SU record (3-4 ATS) after Sunday's 24-21 loss at Buffalo. But New York is the worst team in the league, at 0-8 SU and 1-7 ATS. It's not much of a marquee Monday night matchup, but The SuperBook opened the Patriots -7.5 and the total 41, with no movement Sunday night.
