A heated showdown between two of the top Super Bowl contenders in the NFL Divisional Round gets a frigid stage on Sunday night.
The Buffalo Bills host the Baltimore Ravens at Highmark Stadium, where the forecast for Orchard Park calls for cold and perhaps a little of the white stuff.
Here’s the full NFL weather report for Ravens vs. Bills and how you should be handicapping the NFL odds based on the elements today.
Ravens vs Bills weather forecast
It’s no big surprise that Orchard Park is cold as balls in mid-January. With this main event of the weekend scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. ET, fans in the stands will want to bundle up.
Temperatures will be below 20 degrees, but some models believe the wind chill will make it “feel like” 12 degrees on Sunday evening.
Sustained winds of 6 mph with gusts up to 13 mph are blowing ENE from corner to corner. Given those speeds, the wind should not have an impact on kicking or deeper throws.
There are also some projections showing a chance of snow or snow showers with a 61% chance of precipitation, which could make visibility an issue. Highmark Stadium stunningly does not have a heater under the field like most cold-weather venues, so there could be accumulation depending on how much snow comes down in that window.
Both the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens will look to win the war in the trenches with a run-heavy approach controlling pace and possession. Slippery conditions impact not only the ball carrier but would-be tacklers as well as the footing on the line of scrimmage.
