The Baltimore Ravens will try to maintain their lead in the AFC North when they take on one of the more surprising teams in the NFL this season in the New York Giants.
Will Lamar Jackson and the Ravens fly to a 4-2 record with a win in this one, or will Saquon Barkley and the Giants climb to 5-1?

Ravens vs Giants picks and predictions
With Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman (foot) in danger of missing a second straight game, fellow wideout Devin Duvernay and tight end Mark Andrews are once again in line for a higher workload in Week 6. Duvernay has held his own in 2022, already posting a career-high in touchdown grabs with three this season.
However, the third-year player from Texas doesn’t quite have the same rapport with Jackson that Andrews does. The most dangerous player at his position (not named Travis Kelce) should have a fine day on the field. Andrews has averaged just over nine targets per game this year, hauling in an average of 6.4 passes per contest. Those numbers jump to 10.25 and 7.5, respectively, if you factor out a dull performance against a stacked Bills' defense in Week 4.
The fifth-year veteran has averaged 69.8 yards per game in 2022, and the number soars to 83.5 without that Bills tilt in the equation. The Giants are 14th in receiving yards allowed to tight ends this season at 39.6 per game, and they certainly have yet to face a TE of Andrews’ caliber this season.
Jackson should be unafraid to drop back against a New York defense that’s 19th in opponent passer rating (92.0), partly because this unit has yet to record an interception in 2022. The G-Men are the only team that has yet to pick off an opposing passer through five weeks of play.
Considering one of Jackson’s primary weapons in Bateman could be sidelined, this receiving yards line is not priced as aggressively as it could be by oddsmakers. Jump on it now before it increases.
Also, I would wait and see if Andrews’ receptions line drops to 4.5. It’s currently listed at 5.5, which I would consider to be “just right,” with no clear edge for either bettors or bookies.
My best bet: Andrews Over 65.5 receiving yards (-120 at Caesars)

Ravens vs Giants spread analysis
Covering six points seems like a tall order for Baltimore, but John Harbaugh's club appears to be the more likely team to reward its backers in this market. The Ravens are a run-first team, and they rank seventh in rushing yards per game through five weeks (144.6).
They’ll take on a porous New York run defense that’s allowed 131.6 rushing yards per game (25th in the NFL). Jackson and running back J.K. Dobbins should be able to keep the chains moving with their legs in this spot. Baltimore is also a threat to win this one through the air against a vulnerable Giants' pass defense.
The Jackson-Andrews connection is working stronger than ever. Saquon Barkley, who’s been limited in practice this week with a shoulder issue, can only do so much for the Giants. Daniel Jones will likely have to throw late to keep his team involved, and he’ll be opposing a Ravens defense that appears to have righted the ship since getting torched for 461 passing yards by the Dolphins in Week 2.
Baltimore held Josh Allen to 201 yards passing in Week 4 before limiting Joe Burrow to 190 yards through the air in its last game.
Ravens vs Giants Over/Under analysis
Neither the Ravens’ nor the Giants’ defense rates are among the league’s elite, so bettors should strongly consider the Over on a fairly low line. The Giants’ legs are likely to become very heavy by the time this one hits the fourth quarter, as they haven’t had a bye week to recover from their trip to London.
We witnessed this phenomenon in Week 5 when the Vikings only just managed to stave off the Bears, 29-22, while the Saints slugged out a win over the Seahawks in a 39-32 affair. New York’s defense is 16th in yards allowed per play this season (5.5), and that number figures to rise on Sunday.
However, Baltimore is among the worst in football in that category this year, allowing six yards per play which ranks 27th in the NFL. The defensive yards per rushing attempt stats are dreadful between these two teams, as they're tied for 25th at 5.0 yards allowed per rush.
The Ravens will be facing a Giants' run game that is averaging 5.4 yards a carry heading into Sunday. These two generous defenses will be hard-pressed to keep points off the board in this tilt.
