It was a rather chaotic Week 12 in the National Football League, and the Super Bowl odds ahead of Week 13 reflect that.
The biggest losers were the San Francisco 49ers — who dropped to under .500 on the season — while the Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers all made headway.
Let’s dive into the latest NFL odds and explore how these results are reshaping the Super Bowl landscape.

Super Bowl odds line movement this week
Risers
Philadelphia Eagles (+800 to +650)
After a rather pedestrian start to the season, the Philadelphia Eagles offense has come to life, and the results are starting to come.
The Eagles have won seven straight contests and have scored at least 26 points in six of those games. With Jalen Hurts not turning the football over and Saquon Barkley playing at an MVP-caliber level, the Eagles are serious Super Bowl contenders.
Up next is a big away game vs. the Baltimore Ravens, and a win would further shorten their Super Bowl odds.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+13,000 to +5,500)
Despite the 5-6 record, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a massive jump up the Super Bowl odds board.
Thanks to their win on Sunday, the Bucs are just a game back of the Falcons for the NFC South lead. With a very easy remaining schedule — Panthers, Raiders, Chargers, Cowboys, Panthers, and Saints — the Bucs could play themselves into a division title and home playoff game.
Denver Broncos (+7,000 to +5,500)
Are the Denver Broncos a good football team, or have they just beaten up bad opponents? The evidence (wins against the Bucs, Jets, Raiders x2, Saints, Falcons, and Panthers) suggests the latter, but nonetheless, the Broncos are moving up the odds boards.
Bo Nix is closing in on Jayden Daniels for Offensive Rookie of the Year, and the Broncos' defense continues to make strides as a Top 5 stop unit.
I'm not saying run out to bet on the Broncos, but they could pull off a first-round upset if the matchup is right.
Fallers
San Francisco 49ers (+1,700 to +5,000)
The San Francisco 49ers entered the season with expectations of contending for the Super Bowl. However, the injury bug had other ideas.
The early news of Christian McCaffrey being out for an extended period killed the mood in the 49ers camp, and with guys like Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel missing time as well, the offense has never really been in sync.
Now missing Brock Purdy, the 49ers were run off the field on Sunday vs. Green Bay and, as such, are among the biggest fallers.
Houston Texans (+1,700 to +3,000)
The Houston Texans continue to sit atop the lousy AFC South, but with a losing record over their last five games, the Texans are simply treading water right now.
This is an offense that has been hit hard by the injury bug, and the defense has left a lot to be desired as we enter into the business end of the season.
They gave up 32 points at home to the lowly Titans and have a gauntlet of a December, with games vs. the Dolphins, Chiefs, and Ravens to close out 2024.
Washington Commanders (+3,800 to +5,500)
Similar to the Broncos, the Washington Commanders have racked up seven wins against some awful opposition.
They've beaten the Giants x2, Bengals, Cardinals, Browns, Panthers, and Bears. None of these teams are currently in a playoff spot.
I believe many were quick to anoint Jayden Daniels and the Commanders as "true contenders," and we are seeing the effects of a step up in competition.
