The booming popularity of sports betting has birthed a new Thanksgiving tradition: the Turkey Day parlay.

Friends and family gather around the old sportsbook app and just like the mashed potatoes and mac-and-cheese in the kitchen, they’ll cook up a tasty accumulator involving the three NFL games on the holiday Thursday.

That ticket could be a standard parlay of spreads, totals, and props or a tantalizing teaser, moving around those Week 13 lines.

Lucky for you, we’ve got both among our NFL picks and predictions for Thanksgiving Day.

Best Thanksgiving Day parlay

Amon-Ra St. Brown anytime TD

Giants team total Under 16.5

Packers moneyline

The Detroit Lions’ star receiver was limited in practice with a sore knee earlier in the week, but this is often procedure when playing on the short turnaround. The “Sun God” saw his touchdown streak snapped at eight games in Week 12, but he’s bound for a bounce-back effort on the big stage this Thanksgiving.

Amon-Ra St. Brown faces a Chicago Bears defense giving up gains through the air and primarily playing zone coverage. He rates as the No. 5 WR in the league versus zone schemes, according to PFF. The big spread and taller total set up a high-scoring game script for Detroit and St. Brown’s player projections range from 0.5 to 0.7 TD catches in Week 13.

The Giants are in a bad spot this Thursday. They already sent QB Daniel Jones packing and now backup Tommy DeVito is nursing a sore shoulder and could miss this Thanksgiving Day trip to Dallas. That leaves QB3 Drew Lock as a possible starter in Week 13.

New York managed 245 yards of offense in the one-sided loss to Tampa Bay last Sunday, picking up just 4.4 yards per play and going 1 for 3 in the red zone. Compounding those problems is a good chance that both starting offensive tackles are out of commission.

The Dallas Cowboys' defense has been much improved since returning some starters, most notably Micah Parsons. The Week 12 win over Washington is a bit misleading, as all hell broke loose in the final three minutes (in which Dallas allowed 17 points). Before that wild finish, Dallas had checked the Commanders to only nine points in the first 57 minutes.

The Miami Dolphins are playing their best football of the season but how much gravy do wins over Las Vegas, New England, and the L.A. Rams really hold?

The Green Bay Packers, on the other hand, take a two-game run into Thanksgiving night and aim to improve their place in the NFC pecking order.

Lambeau Field is always a tough place to play, but the onset of the Wisconsin winter gives Green Bay a notable edge in Week 13. Forecasts call for chilly temperatures around freezing that will “feel like” the low teens. Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa has been cooled in cold climates, going winless in seven career games played at 40 degrees or below.

Best Thanksgiving Day six-point teaser

  • Lions -4.5
  • Giants/Cowboys Under 43.5
  • Packers +2.5

We’ll take a healthy chunk out of the Lions’ lofty spread, busting through key numbers of 10, 7 and 6. I’ll up the already low total for Giants at Cowboys to 43.5 points, getting it north of the key numbers of 41 and 43 O/U. And finally, we’ll move the Packers from home chalk to home pups for a game they should win outright.
