Tua Tagovailoa has delivered a great deal of hope during his short tenure as the starting quarterback of the Miami Dolphins, but it's also been mixed with plenty of postseason disappointment.

Yes, the Dolphins are an established squad inside the AFC East after an 11-6 campaign a season ago, but zero playoff wins in four seasons leaves a lot to be desired.

Let's dive into Tua Tagovailoa's career in South Beach and look at the teams he's faced most in his young career.

Tua vs the New England Patriots

Tua snuck into the AFC East just as Tom Brady was on his way out, meaning these Dolphins teams didn't have to match up with the dominant Patriots of years past.

That's clearly reflected in Tua's perfect 7-0 career record against the franchise. Six of those seven victories came by a touchdown or more, the best of which was a 34-15 win in Week 12 this season that included 317 yards and four TDs from the Dolphins QB.

Tua vs the Buffalo Bills

While the dominant Patriots teams were on their way out, the Bills have been on the way up, giving Tua & Co. plenty of fits in recent years.

Tua has just one win and eight losses (he started in seven) against Buffalo in his career, which includes 48-20 and 56-26 blowouts. The lone victory came at home in 2022 when Miami held on 21-19 despite 447 total yards from Josh Allen.

Tua vs the New York Jets

The New York Jets are the last of the AFC East foes and like the Pats, they've been mostly bad during Tua's time with the Dolphins.

Tua's technically 5-0 against the Jets, though he only saw garbage time behind Ryan Fitzpatrick in one of those wins. And while the other four (two of them blowouts) belong solely to him, it hasn't all been easy. He's averaging just 234 yards per game in those four contests and has thrown almost as many interceptions (five) as he has TDs (six).
