Week 14 NFL Betting Trends: Can Bills Halt Rams' Strong December Play?

The Bills head to SoFi Stadium to face the Rams, who have gone 12-2 ATS in their last 14 games in December. Will they stay close enough vs. Buffalo or, perhaps, even win?

With Thanksgiving in the rearview mirror, we’ve reached the stretch run of the season where each passing week will make the playoff picture clearer and also give us a better indication of who will be picking near the top of the 2025 Draft.

Betting results were a mixed bag last week, but underdogs came out ahead in spread betting, going 9-6-1 ATS. For the season, favorites hold a slight edge with a 52.4% cover rate with away favorites doing the heavy lifting at 57.5%.

If this week’s spreads are any indication, Week 14 should be a competitive one as only one of the 13 games has a spread higher than seven — that’s the Eagles favored by 12 against the Panthers.

Below you’ll find my favorite NFL betting trends for every game this week. Best of luck out there!

Best NFL Week 14 betting trends

Packers vs Lions

The trend: Since the start of last season, the Lions are 7-1 ATS in games after not covering the spread

Non-covers in consecutive weeks have been rare for the Lions and they’re in a spot to add to this trend after failing to cover the spread vs. the Bears last week. This looks to be Detroit’s biggest challenge of the year, thanks to a growing injury report and a Packers opponent that’s starting to peak. Detroit is favored by three.

Jaguars vs Titans

The trend: The Titans are 0-5 ATS at home this season and 1-7 ATS in their last eight games as a favorite

A double-whammy here, but the problem is, you’d have to throw your support behind Mac Jones, who’s the likely Jaguars starter. Regardless, the Titans showed their true colors last week when they lost by 23 in Washington and now have three double-digit losses in their last four games. Tennessee is favored by 3.5.

Falcons vs Vikings

The trend: Since the start of November, these teams are a combined 8-1 to the Under

It’s been a rough offensive stretch for the Falcons, who’ve failed to crack 20 points in three straight. Meanwhile, the Vikings are 5-1 to the Under this season on their home field. This game has a total of 45.5.

Panthers vs Eagles

The trend: The Eagles are 0-5 ATS in their last five games as a double-digit favorite

The Eagles are favored by 12 points vs. the suddenly feisty Panthers, and this has the makings of a good old-fashioned letdown/look-ahead spot for Philly. The Eagles just went on the road and beat the Ravens in Week 13, and they’ll host the in-state rival Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15. Carolina has covered the spread in four straight games.

Jets vs Dolphins

The trend: The Dolphins are 14-4 ATS in their last 18 games when favored by six or more

The Dolphins are great at turning people off when they play good competition, but they’re also great at smacking around bad teams. They took full advantage of this miserable Jets team in their two matchups last season when they outscored them by a total of 64-13. Additionally, New York is 1-8 ATS in their last nine games and Miami is 10-2 ATS in its last 12 vs the Jets. The Dolphins are favored by six.

Browns vs Steelers

The trend: The Browns are 1-20 SU & 6-14-1 ATS in their last 21 games in Pittsburgh

Jameis Winston brings Browns’ fans up, but this trend should bring them right back down. The Steelers have been great at home this season where they’re 4-1 SU and ATS and will have no shortage of motivation in this one after losing to the Browns in Cleveland in Week 12. The Steelers are favored by 6.5.

Raiders vs Buccaneers

The trend: The Raiders have gone Over their team total in five straight games

Somehow, some way, the Raiders are scoring points. Their team total is set at 19.5 against a Bucs team that ranks 28th in points allowed at home at 26.2. For what it’s worth, Las Vegas is 5-2 to the Over on their team totals on the road.

Saints vs Giants

The trend: The Giants are 5-1 to the Under on their team total at home

It’s one thing to be going Under, it’s another to be averaging a pathetic 10 points per game at home, which is the worst in the NFL by six points. The Giants’ team total is 17.5 and they’re also 0-7 ATS in their last seven.

Seahawks vs Cardinals

The trend: The Seahawks are 9-1-1 SU in their last 11 games in Arizona

Yes, these games were all under Pete Carroll, but we’ll see if Seattle can keep rolling in the desert under the new regime. The Seahawks have been rolling on the road, where they're 4-1 SU this season and are a 2.5-point underdog in this match.

Bears vs 49ers

The trend: These teams are a combined 9-3 to the Under over their last 12 games

The 49ers offense will be limping into this game after scoring just 20 total points in their last two. The Bears, meanwhile, are a perfect 5-0 to the Under on the road where their games are averaging just 39 combined points. This game has a total of 44 points.

Bills vs Rams

The trend: The Rams are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 games played in December

The Rams have earned a reputation as a strong finisher as they’ve been a great bet down the stretch in recent regular seasons. This trend includes eight straight covers at home, which the Rams will look to continue as a 4.5-point underdog. Bettors should also note that the Bills have gone Under in 16 of their last 22 road games.
