The NFL Week 16 odds carry a lot of weight.

The postseason push is in full swing with teams fighting for division titles, home-field advantage, and Wild Card tickets in the final three weeks of the regular season.

That intensity starts on Thursday when the Los Angeles Chargers host the Denver Broncos in a heavy AFC West matchup.

We have two Saturday showdowns, with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston Texans and a classic AFC North grudge match between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens.

Sunday’s slate is headlined by the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders in an NFC East encounter as well as an interesting NFC matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks.

Week 16 comes to a close with the New Orleans Saints visiting Lambeau Field and the Green Bay Packers on Monday night.

Here are the opening NFL Week 16 odds and early adjustments.

Broncos vs Chargers odds (Thursday, 8:15 p.m. ET, Amazon Prime)

Opening line

The Chargers tumbled in Week 15 while the Broncos picked up a big home win, which leaves L.A. opening as a 3-point favorite for Thursday Night Football. These rivals are vying for a Wild Card spot in the AFC side of the tournament. This total opened at 42 points.

Texans vs Chiefs odds (Saturday, 1:00 p.m. ET, NBC)

Isiah Pacheco
Imagn Images. Pictured: Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (15) hands off to RB Isiah Pacheco (10).

Opening line

All eyes are on Patrick Mahomes’ ankle in Week 16. He hobbled off the field in the Chiefs win at Cleveland on Sunday and is listed as day-to-day with one less day to rest up, as this game takes place on Saturday. Books opened Kansas City as a 1.5-point home underdog — padding the point spread in case Mahomes can’t play — and early action is trying to get out ahead of any updates, moving the number to Texans -2.5. This total hit the board at 41 points.

Steelers vs Ravens odds (Saturday, 4:30 p.m. ET, FOX)

Lamar Jackson

Opening line

Baltimore and Pittsburgh have a Saturday showcase in Week 16, with the Ravens opening as 6.5-point home favorites. The status of Pittsburgh WR George Pickens is one to watch as he’s sat out the past two games. This total opened at 46.5 points. Cold and wind gusts up to 41 mph are in the extended forecast.

The forecast for Orchard Park looks nasty on Sunday, with wind gusts flirting with 40 mph, snow, and “feels like” temperatures at 4 degrees.
