Raiders vs Rams Same Game Parlay Pick: O'Connell & Co. Show Up Big in Inglewood

SoFi Stadium will likely be filled with rowdy Raiders fans on Sunday, and Neil Parker expects the "visitors" to show some fight in this Week 8 clash.

While the Los Angeles Rams are a sizable home favorite over the Las Vegas Raiders at SoFi Stadium in Week 7, I’m anticipating the crowd to be shaded in black and silver on Sunday, October 20.

Los Angeles was the long-time home of the Raiders, and I’m anticipating the visiting fanbase to weigh in loudest. My Raiders vs. Rams same-game parlay predictions and NFL picks are calling for Vegas quarterback Aidan O’Connell to keep this game competitive while the L.A. pass defense continues to struggle.

Raiders vs Rams SGP for NFL Week 7

Raiders +7.5

Aidan O'Connell Over 211.5 passing yards

Brock Bowers Over 59.5 receiving yards

The Los Angeles Rams find themselves in the basement of the NFC West with a 1-4 record, and their defense hasn’t had an answer for the loss of eight-time All-Pro Aaron Donald.

The Rams have allowed the second-highest EPA per play while ranking 30th in defensive DVOA and 27th in defense grade per PFF. It’s not the recipe to cover a 7.5-point spread, especially when you factor in that quarterback Matthew Stafford has also struggled.

Stafford’s 57.8 PFF passing grade is his lowest mark since his rookie season, and he also has the fourth-lowest EPA+CPOE composite mark. Additionally, the Rams have gone Under their team total in four of five games this season, which is one of colleague Joe Osborne’s favorite Week 7 NFL betting trends.

I also expect the Las Vegas Raiders to have success through the air against the Rams. Los Angeles has allowed the highest yards per pass attempt, the second-highest EPA per dropback, and the second-lowest coverage grade per PFF.

Las Vegas QB Aidan O’Connell threw for 227 yards last week against a stout Pittsburgh Steelers defense, and this will be his 12th career start. He’s cleared this 209.5 passing-yards benchmark in seven of the first 11 starts. O’Connell has also been sneaky competitive as a starter, holding a 5-6 SU record while going 7-3-1 ATS.

Meanwhile, Raiders tight end Brock Bowers has garnered double-digit targets in back-to-back weeks and racked up 17 receptions for 168 yards and a 32.8 target share per route run. He’s also set to remain busy with Davante Adams dealt to the New York Jets and Jakobi Meyers nursing an ankle injury.
