Two struggling teams, the Arizona Coyotes and Vegas Golden Knights meet on Wednesday at T-Mobile Arena.
Home ice advantage may not do the Golden Knights any favors, having lost two in a row in LV and are 1-6 in their last seven and 8-9 overall.
The Coyotes are also on a two-game losing streak, dropping games at home to the Sabres and Canadiens.
Will it be the Coyotes or the Golden Knights that get back in the win column? Keep reading our NHL picks and predictions below to find out.

Coyotes vs Golden Knights picks and predictions
Is it time to start panicking in Sin City? The Vegas Golden Knights dropped their second straight home game on Monday, marking the sixth home loss in seven games. They've allowed the second-place Los Angeles Kings to cut the gap a bit in the Pacific Division.
The Golden Knights have a six-point cushion over the Kings, but four days ago it was 10 points. As bad as the Golden Knights have been at home, they still have two games remaining in this homestand before they can escape to the comforts of the road.
Vegas is now 8-9 at home, while 14-2 away from T-Mobile Arena. Its goal production at home is nearly two goals less than it is on the road. So it might be time to worry if you’re a Golden Knights fan.
Not so fast, Calamity Jane. Fortunately, the Arizona Coyotes might be the tonic that cures this home-ice conundrum for Vegas. The Coyotes are the second-worst team in the Central Division, just above Chicago, which is the worst team in all of hockey.
Arizona is 26th in scoring, averaging 2.77 goals a game, and is 28th in goals allowed at 3.63 per contest.
As such, NHL odds have made Vegas an overwhelming moneyline favorite at -300. That bet doesn’t make sense to me, so I'm going to grab them on the puck line at a much more reasonable -110 price.
After losing two in a row at home, I believe the Golden Knights are ready for a breakout offensive performance. Who better to take your frustrations out on than the Arizona Coyotes?
My best bet: Golden Knights -1.5 (-109 at BetRivers)

Coyotes vs Golden Knights moneyline analysis
Vegas comes into this game a heavy -300 favorite to take down the Coyotes. That's a tough moneyline pill to swallow, but I believe it’s the correct one.
The Coyotes haven’t beaten the Golden Knights at T-Mobile since April 4, 2019, a span of eight games. Since then, they are 4-12 overall against Vegas.
Even with the home woes of the Golden Knights, they should be able to handle the Coyotes. The team is 13th in goals scored at 3.24 and ninth in power-play conversation at 25%.
The Coyotes could be in trouble if they go down a man. They are sixth in the NHL in penalty minutes at 357 and their penalty kill ranks 19th at 77%.
The Golden Knights are 4-1 in the last five games against the Central Division and 4-1 in their last five when their opponent has scored two goals or less in their previous game.
On the flip side, the Coyotes are just 1-6 in their last seven when their opponent scores two or fewer goals in their previous game.
So everything seems to be clicking for the Golden Knights and pointing towards a win for Vegas. But with -300 odds, is that a chance you really want to take?
Coyotes vs Golden Knights Over/Under analysis
While Vegas has trouble scoring at home, the Coyotes have trouble scoring everywhere. They rank 26th in scoring offense on the season and have scored more than two goals just once in their last four games.
The Over is 5-2 for Arizona in their last seven games, but that has been primarily because of their opposition. They lost 8-2 to the Edmonton Oilers and 5-2 to the Buffalo Sabres during that stretch.
Arizona did win two 5-4 games (Philadelphia Flyers, New York Islanders) but in their last 11 games, the Coyotes have scored three or fewer goals in nine of them.
The Over would be the play if Vegas was playing in Arizona but at home, goals have been hard to come by. The Golden Knights have scored nearly two goals fewer when at home vs. on the road.
In their last seven home games — six of which they have lost — Vegas has scored two goals or less in all seven of them. Go back 17 home games, and the Under has hit in 13 of them, pushed in two others.
The Under is 6-1-1 for the Golden Knights in their last eight games against Central Division foes and 6-2 in their last eight games after scoring two goals or less in the previous game.
