Saturday’s NHL playoff slate features just one game, with the Florida Panthers hosting the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final.

I've compiled my three best Hurricanes vs. Panthers props for Saturday. As always, monitor the odds and available pricing, as these markets are constantly changing.

Here are my free NHL picks for Saturday, May 24.

Best Hurricanes vs Panthers props

  • Red Wings Bobrovsky to record a shutout (+825)
  • Red Wings Forsling o1.5 blocked shots (+110)
  • Red Wings Barkov anytime goalscorer (+220)

Hurricanes vs Panthers player props for May 24

Sergei Bobrovsky to record a shutout (+825 at Sports Interaction)

This is a big swing with the first prop, as Sergei Bobrovsky is coming off a shutout in Game 2 against the Carolina Hurricanes. He stopped all 17 shots he faced in Florida’s comfortable 5-0 victory.

Given how lopsided the series looked in Carolina, more of the same could be coming in Game 3 at Amerant Bank Arena. Bobrovsky has been dominant, producing two shutouts over his past six starts.

He's 5-1 during that stretch with a .958 SV% and 1.01 GAA. The Hurricanes have had no answer for Bobrovsky or the Florida Panthers’ physical play, and playing on the road presents an even tougher task than the first two games.

Gustav Forsling Over 1.5 blocked shots (+110 at Sports Interaction)

Not only has Florida played a physical brand of hockey, but it has also shown a willingness to get in front of pucks to make Bobrovsky’s job easier. One of the most prominent examples is Gustav Forsling.

He's recorded 2+ blocked shots in four of his past seven games. After managing only 17 shots on goal in Game 2, Carolina’s likely message entering Game 3 will be “fire at will”.

More shot attempts naturally lead to more blocked shots, and Forsling is as strong a candidate as any to record a pair in Game 3.

Aleksander Barkov anytime goalscorer (+220 at Sports Interaction)

Aleksander Barkov scored in Game 2 and could find the back of the net again in Game 3. He’ll certainly have the opportunities, as he skates on the top line and top power-play unit.

Furthermore, Barkov will likely need to take on more of the shooting burden for that top line. Normally, he serves as the playmaker, dishing to Sam Reinhart, the line’s primary shooter.

However, Reinhart left Game 2 with an injury and didn't return. He's questionable for Game 3, and even if he does suit up, it’s unlikely he’ll be at 100%. Either way, Barkov may be forced to take on additional shooting responsibility.
