The goals have been few and far between in the first two games of this series between the New York Rangers and the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Rangers have only scored one goal in the combined two games and they will need to figure out a way to get their offense going.
The Hurricanes might be up 2-0 in this series, but they themselves have only been able to find the back of the net four times, one being an empty netter and another coming in overtime.

Moneyline analysis
The first two games of this series were very evenly matched, with each game having the potential to go either way.
One thing that stands out about the Carolina Hurricanes is how different they've played on the road relative to being at home. In these playoffs, they are 5-0 on home ice and 0-3 on the road — a cause for concern entering tonight's contest.
The Rangers have been a strong home-ice team thus far, going 3-0-1 in the first round and they will feed off the energy of their fans today. New York comes into Game 3 knowing it could have won Games 1 and 2 if some of the bounces went its way, but it also understands it'll have to generate goals.
The bright side for the Rangers is that they've been finding ways to create scoring chances so the goals will come, they just need one to get them going. As of now, the Rangers are expected to score 2.66 goals per game and if Igor Shesterkin keeps up his strong play between the pipes, I like their chances.
Interestingly enough, these teams haven't been able to figure out the power play. Dating back to the regular season, neither team has scored a power-play goal over the last five meetings.
With Carolina’s struggles on the road and the Rangers' strong effort on home ice, I think New York will have the energy needed to get themselves back in the series.
They can't dip themselves into a deep hole again. Back the Rangers to win.
Prediction: Rangers moneyline (-105 at DraftKings)
Over/Under analysis
The team defense has been the story of this series. There haven’t been many goals scored and the special teams haven’t played much of a factor in either game thus far.
Antti Raanta appears to be the story of this series right now as he is coming off of his first career playoff shutout in Game 2. In these playoffs, he's sporting a 5-2 record with a .939 save percentage and a 4.5 GSAx. I said he'd be the x-factor in this series and he has proven me. Most were unsure of how he'd perform under the pressure.
His counterpart, Igor Shesterkin, had an iffy Round 1, but has really blocked out all of the background noise here in Roudn 2. He's performed very well thus far in this series, allowing just two goals in regulation in the two games combined. Igor's been reliable all year long for the Rangers and has been phenomenal on home ice, where he boasts a .914 SV% and a 5.5 GSAx.
Both goalies and team defenses have been stellar thus far in this series and I think that will continue today. Back the Under.
Prediction: Under 5 (-115 at DraftKings)
Best bet
Whenever a series changes cities, the home team usually has a spark in the opening frame. The Carolina Hurricanes will be expected to weather the storm from the Rangers as they'll be fired up to be back in front of their home crowd.
There's only been one first-period goal scored across the first two games with both teams tending to not take many risks.
The Hurricanes have yet to score in the opening frame and they should have an even tougher time in today’s game because I'm expecting the Rangers to have them on their heels.
Even if the Rangers do have all the momentum to start this game, Antti Raanta should be able to hold them off as he has in the first two games of this series. If the Canes come out buzzing, I expect Igor Shesterkin to do the same.
Back the trend of low-scoring games to continue — starting with the first 20 minutes.
Pick: First period Under 1.5 (-140 at DraftKings)
