The Toronto Maple Leafs host the Ottawa Senators on Hockey Night In Canada, while the New York Rangers face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets in a battle for playoff position.

Let’s get right into my NHL player props for March 15.

Best NHL player prop bets for March 15

Juraj Slafkovsky Over 1.5 shots on goal (-135 at DraftKings)

The Montreal Canadiens return home on Saturday night looking to stay hot against the Florida Panthers. Juraj Slafkovsky has joined forces with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield on the Habs' top line and it's paid dividends for Montreal.

The Panthers are stingy in terms of allowing SOG but Slafkovsky had six and five shots against them late last season.

Slafkovsky has had multiple shots on goal in all but one game since the 4 Nations break. That’s eight of nine contests including at least three SOG in six of them.

The big winger has been aggressive with the puck as of late with four SOG in each of his last two games. In fact, he has 3+ SOG in four of his last five contests with a total of 14 SOG in that span.

Kent Johnson Over 0.5 points (-113 at FanDuel)

The Columbus Blue Jackets are one of the feel-good stories of the season with plenty of players stepping up to keep them in the playoff race. 22-year-old center Kent Johnson is among them.

Johnson has already set career highs with 21 goals and 45 points in just 51 games. He's behind only Zach Werenski and Kirill Marchenko on the Blue Jackets.

The second-line center hs been pretty consistent with his scoring as well, especially in recent weeks. He has a point in 36 of 51 games this season including 16 of his last 19 contests. He's alraedy scored two goals against the Rangers with one in each of the two meetings last month.

This doesn’t get the benefit of an eye-catching plus-odds number, but -113 (53.05% implied probability) is a great price for Johnson to stay hot at home.

Ryan Donato Over 0.5 assists (+215 at FanDuel)

But if you are looking for a nice plus-odds play, take a look at Ryan Donato. The Chicago Blackhawks center wasn’t traded at the deadline and he’s been putting up solid numbers in recent weeks.

Donato has 20 points (12 assists) in 15 games since the start of February. He's been held off the scoresheet just twice in that span and didn't have an assist in only four of those 15 games.

The Vancouver Canucks are making their own push for a playoff spot but they’ve still allowed a few goals in each of their last three games.

Connor Bedard gets the spotlight on the top line, but don’t overlook Donato to get a helper or even just a point at +108.
