Under new managerial guidance this season, Liverpool look to beat the odds and challenge for Premier League supremacy. They began by grabbing three points over newcomers Ipswich.

Brentford are no pushovers and are also 1-0, but my Liverpool vs. Brentford predictions and free betting picks see Mo Salah carving up their defense all the same on Sunday, August 25.

EPL predictions for Liverpool vs Brentford

My best bet:
Mo Salah 2+ shots on target (-125 at Betano)

My analysis

Mo Salah was the best player on the pitch against Ipswich. He scored once and assisted on another in a Liverpool 2-0 away win. The Egyptian looks in fine form as he proves that his best years are not behind him. In the Ipswich match, the 32-year-old had three on-target shots (from Liverpool's five). At Anfield, in his first home outing this season and backed by fantastic support from the crowd, Salah will want to show more of the same bite he started with.

In their six Premier League confrontations since Brentford's promotion in 2021, Liverpool has won four times, with a draw and a Brentford win completing the H2H. Liverpool scored 15 goals, with Brentford hitting the net only seven times. Only once in their six confrontations there were fewer than three goals scored.

This high-scoring tradition should continue when the two meet on Sunday, and Salah is expected to play a central role in this highly-anticipated clash. If you feel adventurous, you could consider Salah scoring 2+ at +285. Salah hitting the net once is also at a more than decent -143 with Betano.

Liverpool vs Brentford same-game parlay (SGP)

Mo Salah 2+ shots on target

Over 11.5 corners

Over 0.5 goals 1H

When they played Ipswich, Liverpool had a total of 18 shots and 10 corners. That tells a lot about the statement they are trying to make under Dutch manager Arne Slot. It's tough to replace Jurgen Klopp, but Slot hopes for a smooth transition to his methods, keeping many of the principles that were obvious throughout the German's era.

There should be much action at both ends. Liverpool will control possession, but Brentford's counters should not be underestimated. There will be context for plenty of corners.

I don't think there could be a waiting game in this confrontation. Both teams will have their weapons on the table right from the start and that can lead to early goals. Adding the Over 0.5 goals to the parlay rounds out a nice +310 return at Betano. It's worth taking into consideration the Over 1.5 goals in the first half, which would take the return to +510.
