NEW YORK -- Neil Walker, Jay Bruce and Wilmer Flores all homered Saturday night for the New York Mets, who went on to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-2 at Citi Field.
The Mets (24-30) snapped a three-game losing streak. The Pirates (25-31) have lost three of four.
Walker hit a two-run homer in the first for the Mets, Bruce hit a go-ahead solo homer in the third and Flores went deep in the fourth. Walker and Lucas Duda had two hits apiece. Duda has reached base safely in 20 of his last 21 games.
Robert Gsellman (4-3) won his second straight start after allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six over 5 1/3 innings.
Gsellman exited with two on in the sixth, but Fernando Salas retired both batters he faced and Jerry Blevins threw a one-hit seventh before Addison Reed recorded his eighth save by allowing two hits over two shutout innings. It was the first time Reed has recorded more than four outs in a save.
Josh Bell homered leading off the second -- his second round-tripper in as many nights -- and Gregory Polanco had a run-scoring groundout in the third for the Pirates, who stranded 12 runners, including six in scoring position. Jordy Mercer had three hits while rookie catcher Elias Diaz had two hits a night after he collected six RBIs.
Tyler Glasnow (2-5) took the loss after giving up four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out five over five innings.
The Pirates chipped away and tied it 2-2 in the third inning when Adam Frazier singled, went to third on Josh Harrison's single and scored on Polanco's groundout.
The Mets took the lead again on Bruce's one-out solo homer in the third and went up 4-2 on Flores' leadoff homer in the fourth.
