DETROIT -- Ian Kinsler's bloop single to right-center field with two outs scored Jose Iglesias to finish a three-run seventh inning that helped the Detroit Tigers snap a four-game losing streak with a 5-3 victory over the Houston Astros on Saturday.

Francis Martes (3-1) relieved starter Collin McHugh to begin the seventh for Houston, hit Nicholas Castellanos with a pitch and then gave up a single to Victor Martinez to put runners at first and third.

A wild pitch brought Castellanos in to cut Detroit's deficit to 3-2 and Iglesias followed two strikeouts with an RBI double to right center to tie the score.

Chris Devenski's first pitch in relief of Martes resulted in Kinsler's bloop RBI single, putting the Tigers on top 4-3 for the first time in the game.

Martinez got a two-out RBI single to right in the eighth inning to give Detroit an insurance run. Justin Upton walked against reliever Luke Gregerson, stole second and went to third on a flyout to center. One out later, Martinez singled him in.

Matthew Boyd (5-5) gave up a two-run homer in the first inning but just one other run in 7 1/3 innings. He didn't walk a batter, struck out five and allowed eight hits.

Shane Greene got the last two outs in the eighth and Justin Wilson picked up his 13th save with a scoreless ninth.

McHugh, making just his second start of the year for Houston, allowed four hits and a run in six innings, throwing 82 pitches. He struck out seven and walked one.

Mikie Mahtook walked with two outs in the fifth and scored the Tigers' first run on a double to extreme left by Iglesias.

Carlos Beltran singled with one out in the fourth and scored on a triple off the wall in right-center field by Derek Fisher, giving the Astros a 3-0 lead.

Evan Gattis hit a two-run shot for his 11th homer in the first inning to get Houston off to an early lead. Josh Reddick was called out initially on a grounder to lead off the third, but the call was overturned on challenge. Two outs later, Gattis hit the ball over the left-center fence.

NOTES: RF Jim Adduci was recalled from Triple-A Toledo and placed in the second spot in Detroit's batting order. He replaced OF Alex Presley, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a lower right side strain. ... Houston manager A.J. Hinch said RHP Charlie Morton will start Monday and RHP Mike Fiers on Tuesday with LHP Dallas Keuchel possibly getting an extra day before his next start. ... RF Josh Reddick was leading off for the Astros on Saturday, though he prefers batting third. "Reddick's not the manager," Hinch said. "I really don't give a hoot what Reddick wants." The Tigers were starting a left-hander, Matthew Boyd.
