Andrew Benintendi drove in three runs and Jake Burger hit his 20th home run as the visiting Chicago White Sox beat the Braves 6-5 on Saturday for the franchise's first victory in Atlanta.
The White Sox entered the game 0-7 on the road against the Braves, but scored two late runs -- including Burger's tiebreaking solo homer in the sixth -- and ended their three-game losing streak.
Atlanta's Ronald Acuna Jr. went 3-for-5 with two homers in the loss.
Benintendi was 3-for-5 with a double and scored a run. In seven career games against Atlanta, he is batting .464 (13-for-28) with eight RBIs, seven runs and three doubles.
Chicago starter Lance Lynn (6-8) pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed four runs on six hits, three walks and six strikeouts.
Reliever Kendall Graveman gave up one run on a solo homer to Acuna in the ninth and allowed runners on the corners before retiring Sean Murphy on a game-ending double play. Graveman earned his eighth save.
Atlanta starter Spencer Strider (11-3) pitched six innings and gave up five runs on eight hits and 10 strikeouts. It was his seventh game with double-digit strikeouts and upped his league-leading total to 176, but he saw his seven-game winning streak end.
The White Sox scored three times in the third inning. Benintendi singled in the first run and two scored when Luis Robert Jr. lofted a fly to left that got past left fielder Eddie Rosario for a two-run double.
The Braves evened the score with three runs in the bottom of the third. Rosario hit a solo homer, his 15th, and Acuna added a two-run homer.
The White Sox took a 4-3 in the fifth when Rosario misplayed Benintendi's single into a double, allowing Seby Zavala to score. Rosario exited the game in the next inning with right hamstring tightness.
The Braves tied it in the bottom half of the inning when Ozzie Albies tripled and scored on Austin Riley's single with two outs.
Chicago regained the lead in the sixth when Burger homered to right field and added an insurance run on Benintendi's RBI single in the seventh.
