Xander Bogaerts crushed a tiebreaking two-run home run in the fifth inning, and Rafael Devers had three doubles among his four hits as the Boston Red Sox beat the visiting Chicago White Sox 6-3 on Tuesday.
David Price struck out nine over six innings for the Red Sox, who will seek a series sweep Wednesday afternoon. Price (5-2) allowed three runs (two earned) on eight hits and walked none.
Jon Jay had three hits in his second game of the season for the White Sox, who lost their fourth straight.

The White Sox went up 2-1 when a McCann grounder went under the glove of Bogaerts for a run-scoring double in the third. Jimenez added an RBI single for a 3-1 Chicago lead.
The Red Sox tied the game in the bottom of the third on a two-run single by Christian Vazquez (11-game hitting streak) with the bases loaded and two outs.
Carson Fulmer got the start for the White Sox in a bullpen game, and he gave up one unearned run on two hits in two innings. Jose Ruiz (0-1) took the loss, allowing three runs on four hits in two innings.
