Josh Bell's 30th homer was one of four Pittsburgh blasts, as the Pirates rolled to a 10-2 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Monday night at Anaheim, Calif.
Jacob Stallings, Kevin Newman and Bryan Reynolds also went deep for Pittsburgh, which halted an eight-game slide. The Pirates improved to 5-24 since the All-Star break.
Stallings had three RBIs, and Bell drove in two. Bell, who has 95 RBIs, ended a 26-game homerless drought with two on Sunday.
Los Angeles has lost 13 of its last 17 games.
Right-hander Mitch Keller (1-1) picked up his first major league victory. He allowed two runs (one earned) and five hits over five innings, striking out four and walking two.
Right-hander Chris Stratton allowed three hits in three shutout innings of relief, and left-hander Felipe Vazquez gave up one hit while working the ninth.
Starling Marte had three of Pittsburgh's 13 hits. Bell, Newman and Stallings each had two.
Kole Calhoun and Luis Rengifo each had two hits for the Angels, who had nine overall.
Los Angeles left-hander Jose Suarez (2-4) allowed six runs (four earned) and seven hits in three innings. Right-hander Jose Rodriguez served up three solo homers and four total hits over four innings.
The Pirates batted around in the first inning and scored three times while taking advantage of two Los Angeles errors.
Bell's opposite-field single to left plated the first run. The other two scored when Angels first baseman Albert Pujols fielded a bases-loaded grounder by Melky Cabrera and threw wildly to home plate.
Newman led off the second with a 422-foot homer to left center to make it 4-0.
Stallings hit a two-run ground double inside the third-base line in the third to increase the margin to six.
The Angels got on the board in the bottom of the fourth when Max Stassi hit a sacrifice fly to center to score Justin Upton.
Stallings hit a 368-foot homer with two outs in the fifth to make it 7-1.
Los Angeles pulled within 7-2 in the bottom of the fifth when Pirates third baseman Pablo Reyes misplayed a grounder by Upton as Calhoun scored from third.
Reynolds and Bell each hit 400-foot solo homers in the sixth. Reynolds deposited a one-out blast over the fence in center, and Bell again went the opposite way with a two-out blast to left.
Marte led off the ninth with a double to center and scored when Osuna drilled a one-out double into the gap in right center.
