San Francisco @ Colorado preview

Coors Field

Last Meeting ( Aug 28, 2014 ) Colorado 1, San Francisco 4

The San Francisco Giants get a chance to improve their postseason position with two games against the worst team in the league on Monday. The Giants will visit the Colorado Rockies to complete a suspended game from May 22 before the regularly-scheduled contest. San Francisco has won six straight to pull within 2 1/2 games of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West while leading the wild-card race.

The suspended game will pick up in the bottom of the sixth inning with the score knotted at 2 before a brief break in front of the regularly-scheduled game. The Giants totaled 31 runs in sweeping a three-game series from the Milwaukee Brewers over the weekend and lead the wild-card race in the NL, a game ahead of St. Louis and Milwaukee. The Rockies (54-82) are a game better than the Texas Rangers in the race to avoid the worst record in the majors and dropped two of three in Arizona over the weekend.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
