D'Moi Hodge scored 23 points, including a tie-breaking 3-pointer with 1:37 left, as Missouri overcame a 19-point deficit to defeat LSU 81-76 on Wednesday night in Baton Rouge, La.
DeAndre Gholston added 20 points and Noah Carter 13 with seven rebounds for Missouri (22-8, 10-7 SEC), which finished the game on a 15-4 run.
KJ Williams had 24 points and 14 rebounds, Adam Miller scored 17 points and Jalen Reed had 11 to lead LSU (13-17, 2-15).
Missouri scored the first six points of the second half to close within 47-40.
Derek Fountain followed with two free throws for LSU's first points of the half, before Missouri crept within four points.
LSU rebuilt the lead to eight on two occasions before Hodge made back-to-back 3-pointers to pull Missouri even at 59 with over 11 minutes left to play.
The score was tied twice before Hodge's 3-pointer gave Missouri its first lead of the game with 97 seconds left. Sean East II and Gholston each hit two free throws in the final 23 seconds to clinch the win.
LSU's Parker Edwards, a former walk-on who had played just 67 seconds this season, started because it was the senior's final home game and made back-to-back 3-pointers to start the scoring.
LSU wound up scoring the first eight points, and Williams scored five straight to give his team a 13-2 lead.
Hodge scored Missouri's first five points and Gholston made consecutive 3-pointers to trim the lead to 15-11.
Miller made two 3-pointers and Reed added one as LSU made six of its first eight shots from beyond the arc and opened a 24-14 lead midway through the half.
Carter's layup pulled Missouri within eight before Williams and Miller made two 3-pointers each and Cam Hayes added one to help LSU open a 43-24 lead.
Nick Honor and Hodge each made a 3-pointer and Gholston added a jumper as Missouri trimmed the lead to 47-34 at halftime.
