Things aren't going very well in the non-conference portion of the schedule for Texas A&M, which is riding a four-game losing streak after falling to rival Texas last weekend. The Aggies had a week off to fix things and will try to get back in the win column when they host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sunday.

The Aggies are shooting 37.6 percent from the floor, including 24.1 percent from 3-point range, and are averaging 51.3 points during their four-game slide. "I want to score more points," Aggies coach Buzz Williams told reporters after the 60-50 loss to Texas. "I don't think me or this team will win a beauty contest. I do know that as long as I'm here I won't win a beauty contest because they're not going to invite me." The Aggies dropped neutral site contests to Harvard, Temple and Fairfield, and they will be playing a true home game on Sunday for the first time since earning a 56-52 victory over Troy on Nov. 20. The Islanders already have a road loss to an SEC opponent on the resume after falling 71-66 at Vanderbilt on Nov. 11 but come in winners of four of the last five, including an 81-53 triumph over St. Mary's (TX) last weekend.

TV: 6 p.m. ET, No TV

ABOUT TEXAS A&M-CORPUS CHRISTI (4-5): The Islanders started the season with four consecutive losses, but found a winning formula on the defensive end and held the opponent under 60 points in each of their four victories. The Islanders limited Division II St. Mary's to 18 points in the second half and 5-of-24 from 3-point range in the contest while Myles Smith carried the offense with 20 points. Smith (14.9 points) is second on the team in scoring behind guard Jashawn Talton-Thomas, who paces the squad in scoring (15.3 points) and rebounding (7.7).

ABOUT TEXAS A&M (3-5): The Aggies are getting their best production on offense from the front court, where forward Josh Nebo scored 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting and Jonathan Aku went 2-of-2 from the floor off the bench in the loss to Texas. "I thought today obviously (Nebo's) production was the best he's been," Williams told reporters. "I thought from that position, it was the most production that we have had. He and (Jonathan) Aku were 9-of-12 from the field. That really helps our team." Freshman forward Emanuel Miller enjoyed a breakout game against Texas, grabbing a season-high 14 rebounds to go along with eight points.

TIP-INS

1. Texas A&M Gs Savion Flagg (3.3) and Jay Jay Chandler (3.4) combine to average 6.7 turnovers.

2. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi G Jordan Hairston is 4-of-7 from 3-point range over the last three games.

3. The Aggies are 5-1 against the Islanders, with the lone loss coming in the first meeting in 2003.
