North Texas @ Dayton preview

University of Dayton Arena

The depth of Dayton's prolific offense runs deep as the 12th-ranked Flyers host North Texas on Tuesday. Five different players have led Dayton in scoring over the last five games after Ibi Watson had 20 points in Saturday's 78-47 victory over Drake and it will try to keep it going against the Mean Green, who have not fared well against top competition this season.

“Anybody can have it going on any given night,” Dayton's Trey Landers told reporters. “That’s the thing we know about each other. Everybody's capable of doing something different. We all have different strengths. It didn’t surprise me Ibi came out hot like that.” The Flyers average 86.3 points - third nationally entering Monday - and led the country with 20.1 assists per game. North Texas hasn't played since a 76-53 victory over Little Rock on Dec. 7 behind 23 points from Umoja Gibson. The Mean Green are 0-4 this season versus teams from a major conference or clubs that were in the Top 25 at the time of the game with losses to No. 25 VCU and Oklahoma by a combined five points.
