Houston will try to extend its win streak to six games Wednesday when the Cougars play in front of a special audience. More than 1,000 elementary students from the Houston Independent School District are expected to attend the early-start game against visiting Fairfield.

The Cougars have won five straight - including a dominating win against Arkansas on Saturday - behind a strong defense and up-tempo offense. The Cougars are allowing 63.5 points in their wins and only Drexel (an 84-80 loss) and Wake Forest (a 78-73 win) have scored more than 66 points. "At no point in the game (against Arkansas) were we content," Corey Davis Jr. said Saturday. "We were focused on not only scoring but stopping them from scoring." The Stags, who are 0-4 on the road, get consistent scoring from senior guard Tyler Nelson.
