Last Meeting ( Jan 6, 2018 ) Wake Forest 71, Boston College 77

After recording its first Atlantic Coast Conference win in nearly 11 months, Boston College bids to repeat the feat on Saturday afternoon when it visits Wake Forest at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C. The Eagles snapped a five-game skid with Sunday's 87-82 victory versus Florida State and will look to defeat Wake Forest for the second straight year after the Demon Deacons won the previous four encounters.

Ky Bowman scored 37 points and fellow guard Jordan Chatman overcame a disastrous first half by drilling five 3-pointers in the second in the win against the 11th-ranked Seminoles. "It just builds confidence in each player, believing in one another and what it takes to beat one of the top teams in the ACC," Bowman said. Wake Forest felt that confidence with its upset victory over North Carolina State on Jan. 15 before dropping lopsided decisions to Virginia Tech and Virginia to fall to 1-5 in its last six outings. Brandon Childress (team-leading 16.6 ppg), who had 12 points in Tuesday's 68-45 setback to the Cavaliers, needs three on Saturday to join his father Randolph in bringing his family's scoring total to 3,000 at the school.

ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGE (10-7, 1-4 ACC): Bowman boosted his team-leading point total (20.9) after highlighting his 13-of-18 shooting from the field by making 6-of-8 attempts from 3-point range, a solid performance considering he missed all six shots from long range in the Eagles' 80-70 setback at Louisville on Jan. 16. "It's possible he could get 30 or 40, because he's that good," Wake Forest coach Danny Manning said of the North Carolina native, per 247sports.com. "They do a great job of moving him around and doing different things with him. He's gonna score the ball, because he's going to shoot it." Chatman has found his range from beyond the arc, turning the tables on a 2-of-24 performance over a four-game stretch to shoot 11-for-17 in the last two.

ABOUT WAKE FOREST (8-10, 1-5): The Demon Deacons failed to hit the broad side of a barn and found itself behind 25-3 in the first nine minutes against Virginia before Childress scored 11 of his points prior to halftime. "We had just three points for a while and couldn't get stops. It was frustrating. We're playing in the ACC, so everyone is tough," said sophomore guard Chaundee Brown, who misfired on all five of his shots to drop to 5-for-23 from the field in his last three games following a sizzling 9-for-15 effort in a 76-65 setback at Miami on Jan. 12. Brown, who had 22 points against the Hurricanes in that contest, had 20 points and six rebounds in Wake Forest's 77-71 setback to Boston College on Jan. 6, 2018.

TIP-INS
